Although there are similarities between Mexican and American cultures based on Hofstede’s culture theory, culture differences are still exist between the two countries in terms of power distance, individualism vs. collectivism, and time management. Local employees tend to expect to be told what to do by supervisors and they try to manage a close long-term commitment to the organization (Hofstede Center, 2016). Often times, people promise that the tasks or assignments will be competed by a certain time, but their paces are usually slow.
