RD # 1 On the day of August 9, 2014 Michael Brown was shot by a white police officer that goes by the name of Darren Wilson. WIth a black vs white case there is always bias either towards the white police officer or the black victim. In the daily media there is an abundance of misinformation that is perpetuated by the Audience. Many news outlets have articles on the shooting of Michael Brown, some of these interviewed the officer who shot him, what had occurred moments before his death, and the aftermath his death had. This makes the source credible because there are factual pieces of information that are true and uncut. The credibility comes from wilson on hand experience, although it could have been altered either by investigators or his own thoughts the overall story was constinat to other articles and factual. “Wilson, who weighs more than 200 pounds, said he grabbed the 6-foot-4-inch Brown. “When I grabbed him, the only way I can describe it is I felt like a five-year-old holding onto Hulk Hogan.” Thoughts raced through Wilson’s head, he said. “What do I do not to get beaten inside my car?” he said he thought.” Although this source had reliable and factual information, the information comes with lots of emotional appeal that draw the reader to be on the side of WIlson., making the source biased. All of the pieces of work put together in one to give a complete understanding of what occurred. The intended audience are people who are curious about what had occured in ferguson. The people who want the simplest of simplest of information about the incident. All of the evidence and prove facts of the incident ( find major quotes to go along w/ this ) . This source is the most credible out of the three that are represented here. They show little misinformation about what had occured and give proof that what the say is true. “11:54 a.m. Michael Brown and DorianJohnson leave Ferguson Market and Liquor.Surveillance video shows Mr. Brown stealingsome cigarillos. He positionshis S.U.V. to block the the two men as well as”traffic.Overall there is little to no bias, the source consists of factual evidence with no hardcore bias to be seen. Overall the effect of no bias gives the reader credible knowledge of what occur between Wilson and Brown with multiple instances of evidence. This has a positive effect on the society because they can pull chunks of information from this and it is factual with no bias. he
