Breanna Rountree Mr. Kirby Principles of Law 28 September 2015 Summary of Michael Brown Shooting At 12:00 o 'clock on Saturday, August 9, 2014, Michael Brown was killed. Shortly before this tragic event, Brown and Witness 101 robbed Ferguson Market and Liquor of several packs of cigarillos. When the store manager tried to stop him, Michael Brown used his size as an advantage and left.
The evidence did indicate that Brown was moving towards the officer as the rounds were being
I believe that Darren Wilson did not legally kill Michael Brown. The two black men, including Michael Brown are at fault for the incident. Wilson only followed his duty as a police officer. However, Brown responded inappropriately, leading to his death. One morning in Fegurson, Missouri, Darren Wilson was on his way to lunch as he spotted two black men on the streets.
Some of the witnesses said that Brown turned around to attack the officer or to take his gun and shoot him. Cherkis’s suggests that the investigators failed to measure the distance between Brown and Wilson. The legal examiner testified that she thought the distance was irrelevant and she couldn’t take any pictures, because her camera’s batteries were dead. The examiner later testified that she escorted investigators from the St. Louis County Police Department as they photographed Brown’s body, which totally contradicts her first testimony. However, according to the article “Ferguson protests: What we know about Michael Brown's last minutes” published in The BBC that the autopsy commissioned by his family that a shot on Brown’s arm was likely sustained while his hand were in the air, which presumably indicates that he was shot while surrendering.
The physical evidence also shows both of the horse pistols that were used. The pistols were on the sides of his body, but that was not where the bullet wounds were in his body. The bullets were found in his skull and his upper stomach. If he was to shoot himself the gun would land on his stomach and behind his head. This evidence proves he was murdered because he would not be able to shoot himself in those places where the bullets were and the guns land on his side.
After finishing him, he left the body at the scene of wrongdoing within hours later and the began. It could have been an issue of many dissidents claim that the protest was out of line, and they trust that Michael Brown was faultless. The"Ferguson Police Department releases the name of the cop and the image showing Brown robbing a convenience store immediately before was shot and killed. “ (Hill, Dean, 2014). The officer did not stop him for the robbery he got stop for blocking traffic and for walk in the middle of the street, hours later after the documents came out claim him as a primary suspect.
CLEVELAND - Two months post the infamous Michael Brown shooting spectacle, yet another teenage boy gets involved with police officials. Responding to a 911 call, police officers approached the 12-year-old-boy in Cleveland’s Cudell Recreation Center, who was said to be “sitting on a swing and pointing a gun at people.” The 911 caller said the gun was "probably fake," then added, "I don 't know if it 's real or not. " Deputy Chief Edward Tomba said Monday that he didn 't know whether that information was conferred with responding officers/
The grand jury was not able to go off of witness statements being they became contradicting to each other. Witnesses stated that “Officer Wilson had first got out of his vehicle and then began firing, while another witness had stated that Wilson had stayed inside the vehicle and began firing. ”(Eyder Peralta, Krishnadev Calamur, 2014). This is essential because it proves that witness statements are not always reliable, a lot of the time the witness becomes flustered and only recalls what they feel happened when the situation occurred. When interviewed by George Stephanopoulos on ABC news, Darren Wilson stated that “Michael brown had started to attack Wilson; witnesses stated that Wilson had pulled Michael Brown into his vehicle, but Wilson soon responded with, that would be a violation of my training.
It 's been about a year and a half since 18 year old Michael Brown was shot by Officer Darren Wilson. This ordeal still holds a lot of controversy. I, myself believe that Wilson 's action were unjustifiable and way worse than just unfair. Regardless of whether or not Michael had stolen something, shooting to kill was unnessecary. It was also unacceptabe and disrespectful for his body to be taken away hours later and in a cop car.
Hero or villain Guilty or innocent? The case of John Brown gets debated and questioned often. But many people don't know what actually happened or the reasons why he is guilty. “ Old John Brown…. agreed with us thinking slavery is wrong, but that cannot excuse violence bloodshed and treason.
The short story
Wilson was violent toward Brown and shot Brown several times even though Brown had already surrendered and put up his hands in the air. People who are on Brown’s side claim that a white police officer abused his power, and a sign of race discrimination among police officers. On the day of shooting, Michael Brown and Dorian Johnson went to Ferguson Market and Liquor Store where it was reported for robbery. According to Johnson 's attorney, Freeman Bosley, Michael was involved in shoplifting(CNN). The police released the video of Brown robbing and pushing a clerk of the store from the convenience store 's security camera.
Lisa Gioconda gazes serenely into the distance, almost unaware of the comical little artist for whom she has been posing for so long. Mona Lisa was painted during the Age of Reason. Coming directly after the Medieval Period of superstition and lore, the Age of Reason sought to liberate people from their spiritual preconceptions. Artists during this period did not emphasize emotion; instead, they focused on painting thoughtful paintings or sculptures. The Age of Reason affected two of the great masters especially: Michelangelo and Leonardo Da Vinci.
The speech talks as well about the issue of power that is closely connected to the construction of the single story. The stories have been used to expropriate and label, but can also be used to empower and humanize. Accordingly, Adichie says, many stories matter, but we cannot know every story. However, we are
