Michael Joseph Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary Indiana. He was born to Joseph Walter and Katherine Jackson. Growing up Michael was teased for how he looked; he was teased so badly by his father he cried daily. At the age of fourteen he grew a little in height, however people still though of his as a “cute” little kid. As if growing up in teenage struggles was not enough, Michael’s skin broke out in a terrible case of acne. He wore hats, kept his head down and would rarely talk to people. These events helped him start his career or grater his career. The start of his career was when he joined the Jackson 5 that consisted of him and a few of his siblings. The Jacksons 5's mix of mind-blowing musical talent and sheer charisma earned the family the status of pop royalty in the music business and later helped launch Michael's legendary solo career. Although he enjoyed singing in the Jackson 5 with his siblings, Jackson wanted to start his solo career. He began his solo career in 1972 when he released his first No.1 solo single "Ben". By the 1980s, Jackson had become a dominant figure in popular music. Jackson’s music videos helped bring the television channel MTV fame. Jackson is one of the fewest artist to be introduced into the hall of fame twice. Jackson has had some astounding events happen to him, however somewhere not that astounding. In 1993, Jackson was accused of molesting a thirteen-year-old boy who had become a frequent visitor at his Neverland Ranch. Even Chandler accused Jackson of molesting his thirteen-year-old boy Jordan. The relationships between Michael and Jordan began in May of 1992. Chandler confronted his ex-wife who had custody of Jordan with his suspicions, however she dismissed them. According to many suspects, Chandler wanted to public with his suspicions. Jackson had his lawyer Bert Fields to intervene. They settled the issue with a financial settlement there was never a proper case. The agreement of the financial settlement was 350,000
