Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni
Michelangelo was born on 6 March 1475 in Caprese and he was born on 18 February 1564 (aged 88.) In Rome, Papal States. He was an artist, sculptor, architect and poet. He applied the influence on the development of Western art. He was considered to be the greatest living artist of all time. Some of his art works were Pieta and David. He made those art before the age of 30. At the of 74 he completed the “Antonio da Sangtallo the Younger” as the architect. Michelangelo developed the passion of marble sculpting when he lived with his nanny and her husband and his father owned a marble quarry.

It is a 5.17-metre marble statue of a standing male naked. The statue represents the a hero named David, a favoured subject in the art of Florence.The statue was placed in a public square, outside the Palazzo della Signoria, the seat of civic government in Florence, where it was unveiled on 8 September 1504. Because of the nature of the hero it represented, the statue soon came to symbolize the defense of civil liberties embodied in the Republic of Florence. The eyes of David, with a warning glare, were turned towards Rome.The statue was moved to the Galleria dell'Accademia, Florence, in 1873, and later replaced at the original location by a replica.
