Homeless youth can be defined by individuals who lack parental, foster and or instituional care. There is an estimate of 1.3 million homeless youth living unsupervised on the streets, in abandoned buildsings, with friends or with strangers. As a homeless youth they risk being abused in different ways. Some of the ways they get abused is psychical, sexual, substance abuse, and death. Every year there is approximatly 5,000 youth die that was unccompanied as a result of assult, illness, or suicide.
Description of Homelessness Homeless is considered the oldest issues in the world, which include adults, children, and mental illness. When it comes to homeless, the concerns are poor physical and mental health issues. Homeless adults are more likely to have short life expectancies (Taylor, Kendzer, Reitzel, & Basinelle, 2016).

We can help them by allowing homeless men and women to apply for small labor jobs. If the homeless could be allowed to secure small labor jobs, they would be able to earn funds to pay for their necessities. If this is eligible this could help decrease the homeless population.

Never in my life, I would have known that there was a difference between panhandlers and homelessness. All my life I thought homeless are people who beg I treat everyone that asked for money the same. My experience with a panhandler was on Broad Street I thought to incase was asking for money thought she needed it because she was starving when in reality that was their “job” to go around asking people for money when homeless people actually need the money more. Homelessness and panhandlers the same my perspective between them have changed dramatically this is my biases views of this issue.
