Because of this I grew in a much different way, and I now see that timing is everything. On July 12, I headed to Kilgore College filled with mixed emotions and thoughts because it
Hello everyone, The day has come. We traversed the slippery slope that is middle school. We didn’t succumb to peer pressure or anything else for that matter. We made it!
The transition from middle school to high school is what shaped me the most and this adjustment has changed me in both good and bad ways. As a freshman, I enrolled in a private school, called Bridgemont High School. It was a very small school and did not have the same help as the public schools offered. I didn 't have an ELD class and classes providing extra help were limited. Eld means einglish language development, these classes are classes to help develop your english speaking skills even though i can speak english i had poor grammar.
Korbey (2015) stated, the transition from middle school to high school is a big one, perhaps bigger than appeared at first blush. Ninth grade is difficult because it tells whether students graduate or not. When students move into high school it's so different. Willens,( 2013 ) When students start over they start to forget things. Ninth grade is the most important year because it tells if students graduate.
As a freshman the transition was some what difficult for me. These are somethings I think would be good to new for the middle schoolers that are tranistioning into highschool. First keep organized. I can 't stress that enough because if you don 't you will lose things really easy and become a real mess. Another thing is a personal opinion but I don 't think that going to your locker every passing period is a good idea.
Laconia Middle School was the local school for those that lived in Laconia. Knowing most of my classmates and having many friends I felt as though I was at a very good place in life. Attending school everyday was fun for me. I got to be in classes with my best friends, had some of my favorite teachers, worked out a wonderful schedule and played the sports I loved, but if anything middle school was especially important to me was when I began to pick up a fascination for history and also began to realize how the Bosnian War had affected me as a person. Seventh grade was the year I was asked to write an essay about my biggest fear.
Honestly, this may surprise you, but honestly, I am sad to leave the middle school. I have had many good memories in my times at the middle school, but I have also had some not so good memories. Even though I dread coming to school everyday, the teachers, the staff members, and the students make it a lot better. The best memories I have had at the middle school deal with Cougar News, Yearbook, and Junior Honor Society.
For many adolescents entering middle school is an overwhelming and anxious experience. It's a time of transition and offers a whole new learning experience that is very different from elementary school. Students are used to being with the same students and one main teacher throughout the day in a self contained classroom. The elementary teachers get to know the students very well and a safe and comfortable
The transition from Middle School to High School is extremely different on many levels. Many people that have already made their transition describe their Middle School experience as demanding and challenging. Be aware that in High School, you are given more freedom and opportunities. The size of the school is changed drastically. You need to come to the reality that you are surrounded by peoples who are four years older than you, adults.
At school, quizzes and exams are taken very seriously, messing around and talking do not go without a consequence. Most middle school will most likely have sports and other after school activities. Doing these activities is a good idea, because it will give you a chance to make new friends and compete
The best part of eighth grade is the fun experiences you get to have with your fellow classmates and the excitement of a new chapter in your life approaching. People might think of school as abate, but really it is more work your eighth grade year then the previous middle school years because of pressure of high school approaching. Although some people may want to stymie you from having a great year emotionally and educationally, it makes you work that much harder. At the end of the school year, you garner your achievements wether it be an award or you reach your goal from the beginning of the year.
My body ached, I stopped eating and tried to stop feeling by sleeping for close to twelve hours a day. Luckily my parents, god bless their souls, fought tooth and nail with me almost every day just to get me to sit up and get out of bed never mind leave the house. In the winter of 2014, I was diagnosed with clinical depression. As time went on I was able to get treatment and by late spring I was back at school. When school ended in June of 2015 I wanted to continue on to my senior with the rest of my classmates.
The first day of middle school for me was both terrifying and exciting. I made a lot of new friends within the year. I remember the first day very well. I had woke up at 5;30 a.m. I was extremely tired.
I’ve really learned that life is only what you make it. If it wasn’t for the frightening conversations, the throbbing headaches, and the gigantic D’s and F’s on my paper , I wouldn’t have wanted a change. My mind was set up to just pass the class, but I was determined to be so much more. I was going to beat the odds, and prove everyone wrong no matter how hard it may have
I realized I wasn’t a good student my behavior inside the classroom was horrible but I could recognize I had a really good connection with my teachers even though I was super noisy in class and always laughing basically I was like a clown, until today I still talk to them as my second parents. Memorable moments in my life that I consider the scariest days and at the same time moments to celebrate was my last year in High School. De La Salle Panama is known for a lot of people as a really hard school to graduate and the hardest year is grade 12 (2014: my last year in High School). Remember moments when I was studying and I took me the whole night to study for my several
