It all started when Mrs. Flores made me promise I would become a writer... The end of eight grade had finally come. It was student day and I bought Mrs. Flores and orchid.
Final essay By: peter Barrett Friendships, personality and a sense of humor these are all things you need to be successful in 8th grade. For example you need friend to support you, you need a good personality so people will like and respect you and a sense of humor so people don’t think your mean. I choose the song Wings by Macklemore because I think this song relates to My 8th grade because it is about thinking something is cool and then realizing it not about what you have but how you act. The first way this song (Wings) is like my 8th grade experience is how it is labeling things.
A lot of stuff happened in eighth grade, some good, some bad. For one good thing, every time at the end of quarter, we would do nothing and just play games, eat pizza, and watch movies. All the bad things I can think about is just the bad grades I get on test sometimes like that. So the goods outweigh the bads.
Traditional school schedules have kids in school from late summer until late spring, the year-round schedule has kids in school all year but the difference is there are longer breaks in the year-round schedule. It is time to switch from the traditional schedule to the year-round schedule because students learn better and don’t lose information over a long summer break, is more convenient for everyone and reduces the stress of school and makes it more enjoyable. To begin students under the current school schedule where there is one long break in the summer are more vulnerable to losing the information they have learned the past year. Summer break causes students to forget material that they have learned which causes problems because it wastes
There is an abundance of details and facts on why 8th grade is the best grade to teach. First, being an 8th grade teacher means that you will be shaping the future for students in high school; 8th grade is better and more beneficial than 7th grade because during that time, students are learning more about themselves than they have in previous grades. Learning about yourself is one of the most important things to do as you are growing up. The last way that
Right now I am sixteen, before this I was fifteen, and fourteen and all of the other ages prior to sixteen. Being sixteen means that you can get your driver 's license, you can start doing things on your own. Sophomore year means that you don’t have to worry about being a little freshman, and you don’t have to start thinking about applying for colleges, or the ACT, or prom. In sophomore year, you are just kind of there, not really any purpose, you are just kinda there. When you are fifteen you can get your temps.
Tired of learning material during a school year, only to forget it during summer break? All-year school is becoming more popular throughout the United States. School systems are rapidly changing to this new phenomenon. If students went to school year round, there would a more efficient time schedule, less material forgot, and in the end, the students would have more days off. Every day, students struggle with the problem of time.
I have always been excited for my 8th grade graduation, and I bet that it might be pretty fun. The best part about (some of) these graduations is that you get out earlier than the rest of your school, so you get more Summer... actually I kinda feel bad, about those still at school. My reason why I find 8th grade graduations
Korbey (2015) stated, the transition from middle school to high school is a big one, perhaps bigger than appeared at first blush. Ninth grade is difficult because it tells whether students graduate or not. When students move into high school it's so different. Willens,( 2013 ) When students start over they start to forget things. Ninth grade is the most important year because it tells if students graduate.
Eighth grade is the only grade to be president or vice president. Then I thought if I was going to prove my brother wrong, I would have to be in a higher position. Then eighth grade came and our class wasn't a class anymore, we were instead a family. We were all grown up and I was backing out from becoming a leader. I was backing out from being in Student Council because I heard that one of my closest best friend was running for president and I didn't want any competition.
Attending school on a year-round calendar or a traditional calendar is a huge debate in the school districts across the United States. It is mainly about which calendar is best for the students’ academics. Everyone is talking about whether to keep the traditional school calendar or switch to year-round school. Year-round schooling is moving away from the traditional three semesters with a long summer break to shorter semesters with more, but shorter holidays. Since this is an ongoing debate, there are both pros and cons of having a change happen.
8th grade isn’t very bad but its not good either it’s kind of in the in between. Where people make the assumption that 8th grade is bad or they might think its good but when the classes doesn’t meet their expectations it seems to be the opposite of their assumptions. 8th grade is really not bad it is only a different type of 7th grade it is merely a harder version of it. Take Super Mario Brothers, the worlds 1-8 are like the grades you go through in elementary school 1st through 8th grades. World 1 is the easiest and isn’t hard to beat but it does have one of Bowser’s castles in it at the end, at school though, Bowser’s castle is basically testing and finals so luckily you don’t have to dodge fireballs being flung at you.
No one can honestly say that they enjoyed middle school. I know that I can’t. Unfortunately, as young teenagers, we are impressionable, and whatever habits and traits that we pick up in middle school can alter the course of our lives. Look at me, I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis the summer before eighth grade and now my life has been changed forever. If I’m being completely honest, middle school helped me become the person I am today.
My high school experience was a long, frustrating learning experience. I didn’t know what to expect, or what I was getting myself into. Nobody gave me the tools to understand the main focus of each year. I am going to give you tips and advice on how to succeed in high school. I will discuss 9-12th grade along with what to expect each year.
I had many fun experiences in 8th grade. Although I am very excited to move on to highschool, I will miss 8th grade as well. I learned many things in 8th grade. I learned a lot about U.S. history and I found physics very interesting. Algebra and Spanish, the two high school classes that I took this year were quite challenging but very rewarding.
