My high school experience was a long, frustrating learning experience. I didn’t know what to expect, or what I was getting myself into. Nobody gave me the tools to understand the main focus of each year. I am going to give you tips and advice on how to succeed in high school. I will discuss 9-12th grade along with what to expect each year. Freshman year I am critically going to address the importance of your first year. Its the base for the next three years. Your grade point average (GPA) contributes to setting that base, in addition, to the grades you make each year. Always remind yourself to be on top of your grades and set annual goals. Take advantage of the time spent in class, as usual, you can finish homework if you are on task. There will be a lot of tutoring opportunities if you are struggling with a subject. Also, know your teachers and coaches are there for you. The social life in high school will change drastically over the years. The friends you have now 90% of the time won’t be the friends you end up with. Don 't follow your friends, because they take a certain class it doesn 't benefit you in the long run.When picking classes, learn about the classes that they provide. In the field you want to pursue, and if you don 't know what field pick what interest you. There is a class called Advancement Via Individual Determination. Which helps you manage school, by keeping track of your grades, and prepare 's you for college. Join a sport or a club they also help you
