It will be fun because I get to have classes with my friends and I get to do fun activities like gym and different clubs. I am also looking forward to some things. When I started Unity High School I thought that it was going to be boring school because my first choice was Skyline but my mom made me come to this school so I had to obey what my mom wants because she takes care of me and helps me with whatever I need help with so going to the school that she wanted me to go to was the least I could have done. I thought that high school was going to be difficult because the work that my brother would bring home when he was in high school looked really hard and I did not understand most of the work he needed to complete. But I realized that I need to be taught the material before I go on and do the work
High School is more than all this, its about finding out what in life will make you happy. Not just chasing some small irrelevant goal. This is why I strongly recommend that you read this book, The Death of Ivan Ilyich. Let me ask you this: Have you ever thought about what you really wanted to learn in highschool? 45 years from now will you remember that A you got on Mr. Tooheys essay, or will you reminisce figuring out what makes you happy in life?
Tips for Incoming Freshmen in High School In middle school and all of my previous years I thought my freshman year of high school was going to be the toughest/worst year of my entire life. Movies and TV shows make it seem as if all that’s going to happen to you will be negative. So far, my freshman year hasn’t at all been a negative experience. I just had to tell myself that this was going to be like every other school year and to not dread it so much.
Incoming freshman or 9th graders, commence out worried about the transition from midde to High School for various reasons. It is beneficial for 9th graders to stay seperated from the High School Community because it will give the freshman’s an opportunity for help and suggestions on how to manage High School Life. Dividing the 9th graders from the High Schoolers, will provide many advantages for not only the counselors but for the counselors as well. For example, in the first week of school, counselor’s are pressured with multitude of schedule changes, especially from freshmans.
Coming back from summer vacation is difficult, but coming back and having to start in a totally new environment makes it even harder. I remember coming back and being confuzed. Not just academically, but also socially. I would wonder how I would fit in with my new peers, and if I would start falling behind in my classes. When I was in MacCracken middle school, I always wondered what it would be like when I went to Spartanburg high. I kind of wished someone would have told me what high school would be like. Now that I have been here for a year and a half, it is not that hard. I have managed to learn not only a lot in class but also a lot about Spartanburg High School and its people. Friendships and reasonability are areas that I think students in the eighth- grade student should know before they arrive.
Making It Through High School While Becoming A Young Adult High school is a crazy place for most because everyone is not going to be popular, very athletic, or the smartest person in the classroom. Also regardless of how it looks outside looking in everyone will have a hard time in high school whether it 's an athlete trying to keep his or her grades up so they can play in the next game. Well, my first piece of advice is you can 't let everything people say get to you by being very stoic about situations.
In many of my classes I learned to write essays and thoroughly research my assigned topics. High school has also taught me to open-minded and friendly toward others by going out of my comfort zone. The most important things I learned from high school is being able to study on my own as well as teach myself outside of school. During my last year of Middle School I was diagnosed with depression. This illness caused me to discourage my abilities and it deeply affected my social skills. At the same time I was also being bullied by other kids at school. I remember silently crying every day as I walked home from the bus stop. When I was first diagnosed, the doctors told me that isolating the problem was a good thing.
