School has been an extensive journey with many ups and downs. Hard work mixed with focus allows doors to be open up that were once closed. Education has allowed me to understand the importance of allowing information to help me perform better in the world today. School has always been a focus of mine because of the education it gives and the fun it has provided me throughout all of my stages. Elementary School taught me the basics and the importance of having a true understanding of what was going on. We learned how to read and draw conclusions from the stories. The school work was a huge difference from elementary school. Teachers expected more of you and that seemed to be the biggest change. The homework load grew significantly between the two stages and this seemed to be where the ability to push through hard times was tested. My hard work ethic in school was forged through this tough load. The morals of growing up as my own human being were also tested. The peer pressure of actually becoming a young teenager was definitely in place. Growing up, my parents always taught me right from wrong, but at the end of the day. It was up to me to make the right choices and keep my head on straight to reach my goals. The key teaching points they taught me truly began in middle school. These lessons that I learned still are engraved in me today. These were the times where my body began to mature by growing taller than the majority of my peers. Sports became an outlet for me. Finding a love for sports wasn’t too hard for me at all. Football gave me the chills and I truly loved the sport. Playing quarterback was my first position on the field, and I loved to control the game. Although I played football growing up, my main sport was definitely basketball because I was naturally more talented at it. I had a complete feel for the game and my sport IQ was extremely high.
