It helped the children learn new things and fill out the empty space that the children need their parent to fill out, but their parent were so busy with works
I have worked with the exceptional need students in my classes through one on one discussions, making sure they have access to computers and other technology to assist them in completing tasks, advocating for them in IEP meetings and other conferences along with many other strategies to assist these
Khristy Hernandez 1AB Mrs.Carroll Place: Seabourn Elementary School, 1st graders Time: 4 hours and 14 minutes The point for this observation was to ask my mentor ‘ What has been the biggest challenge for her in relation to providing accommodations?’ And ‘ How she overcame that challenge?’ Her biggest challenge in relation to providing accommodations is the fact that you need to customize each kid's needs, like homeschooling, free lunch, and getting teachers to take out kids out of class for 15 minutes just to help them get better at reading or anything else.

I am very thankful for the opportunity to intern at the Waterfront Public School and having the chance to work with two very different students with DD. This experience gave me a better understanding of how the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) employs DSWs and how they value our role within their classrooms. I was fortunate enough to work with a collaborative team of staff that encouraged my professional growth by allowing me to assess and implement new teaching strategies. This team also provided me with much needed feedback and criticism along the way, which I valued and learned from. In addition, this education support placement allowed me to fulfill many performance elements related to learning outcome seven of the DSW Program Manual.
The first two weeks of my internship have been very interesting. The school climate at the Middle School that I am currently working at is very positive. Students are at the top of the priority list whether it is in the classrooms or in the administrators ' office. Parents are always welcomed to come into the school and observe students in all settings.
They brought their own brand of enthusiasm to the class and showed just how death can fit into
Most of my field work has been in The Akron Public School District which has allowed me to gain a lot of experience with urban youth students in the Akron area. I have been placed into preschool, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, and high school classrooms which has allowed me to be given a wide variety of experiences with teachers and students. During my placement in the preschool classroom, I was able to learn about the importance of including lessons that enrich each area of a child’s development. While working with the Kindergarten students, I was able to observe a classroom that was run based on centers and small group instruction. I enjoyed working with the students in this classroom as many of the centers were game based which established a fun way for the students to learn.

I felt that the children were very well behaved than most children. It was a bit shocking. All of them were extremely respectful of their teacher. I am excited to continue observing this class the next couple weeks. Being in an actual classroom makes me super excited for my
They taught fifth and sixth grade. All three of these teachers came from the same school and regularly combined their classes for lessons. They shared their free periods and came outside to play with us every day at recess. Of course, some kids were better at physical activity than others, but these teachers made sure no one was felt inferior. It was the only time I ever enjoyed school recess.
The point of this article is basically being there for them, teach them how to be independence, have someone to be in their life that we care about them. When the kids have trouble of reading, spelling, studying, we tutorial them and give them practice skills to work on their weakness to work on. We teach them how to control their emotions. When you have a friendly relationship is to always let them know that you care about them and show them develop trust to them, have that special bond with them. It is important to teach students about the classroom rules, schools rules, daily routines, learn to practice new skills in the classroom and out of the classroom, and now their school schedule and outside of school schedule.
I learned their cultures and backgrounds. Each student learned different, which allowed me to design an instruction plan to meet the student’s needs. I enjoyed the teaching these students. The community at E. R. Dickson allowed me to work with
