1. My first impression of this story Midsummer Night’s Dream is that the start of it was confusing but then as I read further, I enjoyed the story. I understood what was going on. 2. The genre of this selectin is fictional. But it is an example of a comedy. 3. The exposition of this story is when the author is telling about the law in the city of Athens, where if the daughter refused to marry the man that her father chose she would be put to death. The rising action is when Puck put the love-juice on the wrong ones eyelids. The climax of the story is when they all woke up and discovered that they were in love with the wrong people. Then they all start quarreling with their friends. The falling actions are when Puck went back and put the antidote on their eyes and they were back to the way they should be. The protagonist is Hermia. The antagonist is her father Egeus, because he was going to have Hermia put to death for not marring who he wanted her to marry. 5. Hermia’s most important traits are that she was very beautiful. She is a very bold and self-assertive. Where her father Egeus called on Duke Theseus to punish Hermia with law, she continues to refuse to marry Demetrius. 6. The setting of Midsummer Night’s Dream takes place in Athens. Possibly in a castle owned by Egeus. Yes there is another setting. The other setting being the woods outside the walls of Athens. This is where Lysander and Hermia were to meet. It is also where the fairies were. 7. In this story the details are very important. The details describe the fairies and their dilemma to put the love drops into their eyelids. Also the details of what was going on when Puck had to put the antidote. The author had to describe the scene as it took place. He had to do this to make it believable. 8.
