Mike Tyson is one of the most decorated and special boxers of all time, his killer style and mentality brought a different level to boxing that no one else has done. His tenacious and violent boxing style was different from anyone else at the time, he was the first heavyweight boxer to win the WBA, WBC, and IBF boxing titles. Also as the first heavyweight to unify them in one succession. Mike Tyson impacted the sport of boxing by going against the standard boxing style, he had a different mindset of any other boxer, and how people viewed the life of a boxer. Mike did not have a great childhood growing up, he did not have a father figure in his life, he never met his biological father and his step-father walked out on his family when Mike was born. In doing so he fulfilled the prophecy of legendary boxing trainer Cus D'Amato and captivated the public imagination in a way no prize-fighter had since Muhammad Ali in the 1960s and 1970s”(American Decades). Tyson is considered to be one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time by many. It shows how dominant Mike really was at his peak. Mike was one of the most, if not the most, feared man in combat sports in his prime. His prime came earlier than most boxers, he was at his peak at around the ages of 22-24 years old. Much younger than most boxers in his weight class, but that didn’t matter as he won the boxing championship as the youngest boxer to ever do
