Since children are not fully developed, it is morally reprehensible to allow them to play such a sport in which they can possibly have life-changing or life-ending injuries. Far too many high school athletes get concussions from playing football (Watson 35). Approximately 100,000 high schoolers report concussions each year
Driven by the belief that space was bequeathed to them, the Native Americans feel justified in defending their land against the growing encroachment of the white man as the American landscape unfolds. Their motive is the premise that a higher authority has granted them the right to the space, and that the Great Spirit has created the landscape exclusively for them. Fueled by the formation of conflict over land, the Great Ottawa Chief, Pontiac, in his speech at Detroit, seeks to persuade the tribes, including the Ottawa, Huron, and Pottawatomi to agree to resistance. Invoking the words of the Delaware prophet, Neolin, Pontiac recounts the vision which he believes justifies resistance. Neolin urges the tribes to sever all relations to the customs

Dr. Bennet Omalu discovered the brain injury chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE; however, the NFL was in denial about the effects football had on the brain and had on causing CTE. I believe that the NFL’s denial to the accusations were detrimental to many football players and that serious consideration should be taken into the way football is played overall. When Dr. Omalu originally diagnosed CTE on Mike Webster and the NFL denied that football was the cause for his death and disease.

As a consequence of the physical contact that is required in the National Football League, there are a great number of players that have come to face brain injuries during or after their careers. Many players have productive careers in the National Football League, which help lead to them developing horrific health issues. The players of the National Football League play with great effort and passion until they are physically incapable. In the book, “Slow Getting Up”, author Nate Jackson gives insight to how, “In the NFL, you are alive until you are dead” (Jackson 7).

The people who want to ban football because they don’t give a chance. They just speak on how violent the sport is, while also lacking even the slightest knowledge of the actual topic at hand. This is why Miller calls all of them ignorant because they talk about how many major injuries that players can receive from the ‘violent sport,’ while also forgetting that players willingly sign concussion sheets. This means that players know that they could possibly be harmed, but that’s with any sport.
