Everyones favorite candy has always been chocolate it has been around for over thousands of years and it was changed when Milton S. Hershey started his company we all know and love ‘The Hershey Company’. ‘The Hershey’s Company’ has impacted the world, because they made the first affordable chocolate bar.
First off chocolate has been around for thousands of years, but it was not truly effected until 1894 and that was when Milton S. Hershey started ‘The Hershey Company’. “The cacao tree was cultivated more than 3,000 years ago by the Maya, Toltec, and Aztec peoples, who prepared a beverage from its fruit, the cocoa bean (sometimes using it as a ceremonial drink) and also used the bean as a currency. The Maya considered chocolate to be the food of the gods, held the cacao tree to be sacred, and even buried dignitaries with bowls of the substance (along with other items deemed useful in the afterlife).” (“Cocoa”).
