The evidence of the missing person’s case of Jane Douglas that occurred in Palm City, FL on July 18th, 2002 at 8:20 P.M has been broken down into two categories. Following is a list of all the pieces of evidence that should be collected on this case. • The explanation of how the blood in the truck got there should be noted and recorded. According to John all the blood on the truck and the cut on his hand were due to his hunting trip, where he shot a deer and put it on the bed of the truck and skinned it.
• John’s shoes can also be collected in order to compare if that shoe print matches the ones in the house.
• In addition johns prints should be compared to any that might be found in the house.

Since this a sexual assault case and the victim has come forward in a couple of hours after the incident, it is important to collect any and all evidence possible because it might help the case. It is also important to preserve the evidence.

• Since Jill and Pete met at a local bar and left together, it would be important to ask at this bar if they were indeed seen there, if they were seen together during the night, and if in fact they left together as stated. This corroboration of the facts could be important to the case.
• Since Pete took Jill home, it might be useful to confirm this, either through traffic cameras or witnesses that might have seen them.
• Since they stated that on the way home, they stopped at the park to overlook the city lights, it might be useful to look for this park and see if the park indeed overlooks the city lights.
