Have you ever heard about Otzi the IceMan? Otzi the IceMan was a person that was alive over 5,000 years ago. Some things you learn in this essay is about some theories about what caused his death and his last meals. Some things that are interesting but will not be included are he has living relatives, and he had anatomical abnormalities. Now let’s get started.
Jon Spoelestra’s Ice to the Eskimos was very interesting and informative. Throughout the entire book, Spoelestra reflected upon the experiences and knowledge that he gained from working in the sports industry. One interesting aspect of the book was Spoelestra’s principle that organizations should design “an offer that consumers cannot refuse” (Spoelestra, 1997, p. 199). This was particularly interesting to me because of my interest in finance. Initially, I thought that if you make an offer too good, that you could potentially be losing out on some profit, however, after reading this book, this principle makes perfect sense.
One that seems to make sense is that he was assassinated by a clanmate who was jealous of his position. This is likely because of his copper axe, the arrowhead’s type and its location in his back and a large stone inside the cave which depicted the assassination. First, the Iceman’s axe was made of smelted copper which was advanced for his time, and signified that he was a man of power or position. Although a small detail, it would make sense that someone could have desired his status. In Ötzi’s time and culture, when people of authority were killed, their position would go to their killer.
As soon as he let his guard down, the barber swiftly dug and sliced the Captain’s throat. To confirm the captain’s death, the barber conducted more slices across the throat.” The prediction was supported by the large amount of congealed blood that suround the body. Even though, all the evidence pointed towards the barber, he was nowhere to be
The arson evidence relates to the car crash and how the car was burned to hide the evidence. The evidence from the bite mark cleared up my client, John’s story who stated he was in a bar fight the night prior to when being questioned. The use of blood spatter helped investigators determine where the victim was killed in the cabin and how many possible killers there were. Blood detection helped discover what killed the
Engineers are an essential part of military strategy and have been integral in many conflicts that have been observed throughout military history. During World War II, the engineers played a crucial in the success of the amphibious and land attacks. The Army Engineers that supported (mobility, counter-mobility, survivability, general engineering, & geospatial engineering) allowed for successful landings as well as a consistent forward movement towards the Empire of Japan. The culmination of Engineers and their efforts came during The Battle of Okinawa or as it was code named “Operation Iceberg” Operation Iceberg was an invasion that created the foothold that would lead to the surrender of the Japanese Empire.
Otzi The Iceman My Thoughts Well firstly I think that Otzi died of lost blood. I think when he was up on the mountains he was struck by an arrow head and lost enough blood to die. Then I think his body came to be like that because of the severe weather weather conditions and that atmosphere.
For my Quaker essay I focused on John Woolman. He was British-American Quaker leader and abolitionist whose Journal is recognized as one of the classic records of the spiritual inner life. John was born on October 19, 1720 in Rancocas, New Jersey and died on October 7, 1772, while on a trip to England John Woolman died of smallpox. He is best known for his Journal, and for his lifelong work to end slavery. Both were sources of inspiration to the emerging abolitionists of his day, and continue to inspire readers today.
The victim had no shirt or pants on, and there was a slice on the back of his neck and the back of his left leg. There was also the rope used to tie him up, which could not be identified by trace analysts because they had never seen it before. He wiped his knife clean on Eberle’s shirt, and left the
Then he broke some of his arrows for the ceremony and left some for himself to have in the afterlife. This is what I believed happened to Otzi. There are many different theories on the death of the iceman. Scientist now are still coming up with new theories, maybe sometime in the future scientist might come up with a theory that involves all the evidence that might be
The Assassination of the Iceman Ötzi was an Iceman, who was found in 1991 in a pass between two high mountains in the Alps. At first when he was found he was thought to be a regular climber, but due to a copper axe, some unfinished arrows, a flint knife, clothing scraps, a backpack, and an unfinished bow lying near his body, as well an inspection of his body, researschers found out that he was over 5000 years old. According to Some remarks on the Iceman: his death and his social rank, he was in an high position of power, due They found out that Ötzi was killed, and there are three theories of how he died: he was either assassinated, sacrificed either willingly or forcefully because of religious beliefs, or he was killed in a clan warfare battle. Ötzi was most likely
Introduction Nicholas Woodman, the CEO and founder of GoPro, established his company in 2004 in San Mateo, California. Woodman wasn’t always as successful as he is now, as any other entrepreneur before him he’s gone through failures and challenges. He’s had two failed companies before the GoPro, EmpowerAll.com and FunBug, both sites that he created weren’t successful and quickly shut down. Woodman didn’t stop there, after a long surf trip in 2001 he decided to create his first prototype of the GoPro. Since he realized while surfing the problem was that for most people, especially when performing an extreme sport, was not being able to capture photos or videos of themselves doing such acts.
There is a lot of evidence for this theory, but, there is also a lot of evidence against; this will be explained later in this paragraph; When Otzi was found they x-rayed his body. This x-ray showed examiners of the body that he had may fractured ribs on his left side. It also showed skull breakages and a stone arrowhead in his left shoulder blade. Based on this evidence Murder was the cause of otzis death. SOURCE: https://www.pri.org/stories/2017-04-06/researchers-may-have-cracked-case-how-tzi-iceman-died.
