Paragraph 1
Wicked Queen – Friend’s Mother
In the Story, “Little Show White” the Wicked Queen was portrayed to be “a women full of pride and haughty, such that she was unwilling to except anyone else being more beautiful than she” (65). If the Queen knew there was someone more beautiful it caused her much grief. This caused the Queen to be envious of that person. Her envy was so strong she was willing to have her step-daughter murdered. I have a friend whose mother displays the same characteristic as the Wicked Queen. The lady is a very proud person. There are time when her pride can bring about conflict between her and her daughter. My friend’s mother is self-centered and self -serving. She is a very envious person. There are time when her envy is directed at her daughter. I don’t think her envy is such that she is willing to murder her child, but she has done a lot to sabotage her daughter’s self-esteem. To sabotage a person’s self-esteem is just like murdering that person.
