Jeremy is a goat who lives in the Flinders ranges in outback South Australia where it can be hot and dusty in summer or cold and windy in the winter. He once lived in a small town called Rawnsley park. Not anymore. He now lives near a small town called Blinman in the middle of nowhere. Jeremy has only lived in this place for about a year. No one really knew who gave birth to Jeremy for a long time. He was found in a creek at the bottom of Rawnsley bluff, a rather large mountain in the heart of the ranges. Most of the goats had climbed mountains before. Not this one though. Anyway with no food in the belly and the need to get some soon, there was no other option but to climb up this great big mountain. So off they went. With not much experience in the group of goats they were finding it very tough. Only two hours into the climb Jeremy was feeling sick. Jeremy had never felt sick before. So when he did he didn't know what was happening to him when he started to feel his stomach rumbling he didn't know what to do. He told his school teacher who was near him at the time. Miss Alice just told him he was going to be ok. So he journeyed on. It was five o’clock when there was a loud shout from up ahead. Look out! A great big rock had come loose and was rolling down the mountain towards Jeremy and some others. It was coming down fast straight for them. But with the quick thinking of Jeremy he griped the ground with his hooves and with all his strength pushed the rock back with his horns until it was back where it had came from.
