Monroe’s Motivated Sequence, which has five steps, is used to design a motivational speech to present change in behavior. In the following paragraph I will explain each step using getting nontraditional students to go to college. The attention step is where you would explain how you are never too old to achieve your goals. Online colleges make it easier to go back to school without having to leave family which I feel will get the audience’s attention.
The need step is what the problems are with not going back to college such as it is always good to have a backup plan in case of tragedy, and most households need two people to have good paying jobs to survive.
