Beautiful Creatures
The movie poster portrays Beautiful Creatures to be a love story: this is shown by the way the characters in the center of the poster are holding on to each other, as if nothing could the actors away from each other. The actors are all wearing different types of clothes, the two actors in the very center of the poster they are both young, maybe in their teens, they are wearing typical teen clothes but mostly consisting of browns and more earthy colors. An actor to the left of them, he is an older man with gray hair and he is wearing a cream suit with a darker under shirt, and the woman next to him looks to be in her thirty’s and she is in a shirt and long skirt also green and earthy colors. Right in front of the title of the movie poster we see that there are seven different actors being shown. When looking at the actors we notice that a couch is used for one of them to lie across. We also see that they are standing in front of a gate that shows the road and trees with the old moss behind them, but when we look at the actor’s feet we realize that they are standing on some type of carpet. The carpet is a dark blue or black, so we see they are not standing on the outside. The movie poster seems mysterious, how the edges of the poster are dark, and how it gets lighter in the center, the light in the center causes our eyes to be drawn to some actors more than others. If we look almost to the bottom where the color has faded to black we can see a slogan in all white letters that reads “DARK SECRETS WILL COME TO LIGHT.” It is put in white, and in the middle of the bottom of the page to attract our eyes. The words are also in all caps to attract us to see that it must be important. The companies Alcon and Warner Brothers are responsible for the making and distributing of the Beautiful Creatures film; they are both in very small lettering one on the right and one on the left.
