At some point in life, people move out of their parents house and get a place of their own. In most cases, people start by moving in with a roommate. Moving in with a roommate can cause a lot of friction between two people. A majority of the time someone's bad habits, routines and customs, and personalities may cause conflict with a roommate. Everyone has a bad habit, regardless of how small or how big it is. Having a bad habit, can interfere and disturb many people. Some bad habits that can cause conflict between two roommates are being messy, not taking responsibility, and not having common courtesy. Some people have a bad habit of keeping their room untidy but not only do they keep their room untidy, they also leave the rest of the house messy. Someone’s personality can depend on someone’s social life, interests, and emotional aspects which can cause dispute between two people. Being a homebody who likes to stay at home alone and stay locked up in their room may interfere with someone who is part of a the football team and likes to have his teammates over all the time. Not only does someone’s social life cause conflict, but any type of disagreements in interest can cause a problem. If one roommate decides to put up an old curtain, the other roommate might not like it. Disagreeing on furniture and/or house appliances become an issue as well. Emotional aspects like anger issues and sensitivity are also another reason two people may not get along. One roommate may be easily irritable, temperamental, and become aggressive with their other roommate. While this may hurt the feelings of a sensitive roommate when in a disagreement. Having one roommate with anger issues may not be good for a roommate who is careless about their actions.
