Why was Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart one of the most influential composers of the eighteenth century? Knowing the past and its events, people, and movements is extremely important and beneficial. One of the most prominent factors in society is music. Everyone listens to it, and many people enjoy playing it. I am a pianist and enjoy playing music very much, and I also enjoy writing music. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is my favorite composer to whom I enjoy listening. I also love playing his works, because of his great geniality of the orchestration of music. Mozart was a renowned artist because he was a child prodigy, considered a genius by many, wrote over six hundred works in thirty years, and was known for his explosive personality. His father, a composer, decided to assess his son’s talents. By the age of three, Wolferl had the ability to play keyboard pieces written for his older sister Nannerl, who was seven years old at the time. At the age of five, Wolfgang composed his first piece, becoming the youngest composer to this day. The song was a simple dance but was proven to be a normal composition for someone triple his age. Around two years later, he composed his famous first symphony at the age of seven! The action of writing a symphony would be attributed to someone quadrable Wolfgang’s age at the time. He wrote his first opera Bastien und Bastienne when he was twelve years old, which would be considered too complicated for someone who is thirty years old. He gained a reputation for being a jokester and a womanizer. He engaged in many love affairs including one with his cousin, Maria Anna Mozart, many of his pupils, and the famous opera singer of the time, Caterina Cavalieri. Now, these might not seem to be good things, but they are some infamous traits of Wolfgang’s personality. Many historians, scientists, and psychologists suggested that Mozart had symptoms of Tourette’s Syndrome. In the award-winning film Amadeus, he was portrayed as a vulgar, juvenile man. Some of the most recognized aspects of the film were Mozart’s laugh and his outbursts, which correspond to the belief that he might have had Tourette’s Syndrome.
