In Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, many characters changed, and while many focus on Claudio and other main characters, I chose to write about Borachio and his change. I will explain how Borachio changed throughout the play and how he became good after doing bad things. It relates because it can explain how people that seem evil or bad can make a change for the better and become good. In this essay I will talk about how one often forgotten character made a change from bad to good, developed the plot of the play, and even worked towards the resolution. In this paragraph I will talk about how Borachio starts off in the play and why it is important for later on. At (2.2.3) Borachio says that he can stop the wedding, (2.2.8-9) Borachio says he will ruin the marriage by lying and without reason. Borachio again shows that he wants to end this marriage not just for Don John but seemingly for him judging by his quickness to accept and plan a way to end it, Borachio also shows that he is not a good person by using lies to end the marriage and will not even try to find a real reason that there should not be a marriage.
