They thought it was a large club of some sort, nobody expected it was a leg of a lamb. Nobody knew it was me who committed this terrible crime, except you my love. I hope you realize it had to be done, i did it for you. One of the police men noticed the oven was on, i asked them if them could take out what i was cooking for supper and to turn off the oven. I then asked them if they would do me a favor by eating the meat i had cooked, they told me they could never but i insisted, why you must be so hungry i had said. i sat in the living room rocking while they ate the meat, i listened to their conversation.
