Sergeant Green first had contact with Ms. Everette outside the residence. He observed visible injuries around her neck area. Sergeant Green asked Ms. Everette if she would walk through the scene and describe what occurred. Ms. Everette took him upstairs to the master bedroom and showed him the bed. Ms. Everette stated she was lying in bed when Officer Scott got upset with her smoking a cigarette. Ms. Everette stated she couldn’t understand why he was agitated about her smoking in the bed because their bedroom is a common area where they both smoke.

Ms. Everette said Officer Scott went into the bathroom. Ms. Everette said, “He came out; he said, ‘really you’re gonna smoke another fucking cigarette?’ And i go, ‘it’s the same one.’ And he demanded that I put it out, as he was filling a cup of water up. And he just completely doused me with the cup of water, for no, I don’t even know why. I don’t know what he was mad about, but he was not happy that I had a cigarette lit. And he soaked the bed. So, I threw the cup at him and that’s when he snatched me up.” She added, “I mean it happened fast, so I don’t know if I can do increments. I threw the cup at him; he threw the water on me. I threw the cup at him; he came at me when I threw the cup at him, and grabbed me by my throat and he threw me on the bed.” …show more content…

Everette showed Sergeant Green the cup Officer Scott used to throw water on her while she was in bed. Sergeant Green noted part of the bed was still wet several hours after the altercation. Ms. Everette showed Sergeant Green the items she threw at Officer Scott. She stated Officer Scott charged at her Immediately after she threw the items at him. She stated Officer Scott grabbed her by the neck and began strangling her while she was on the bed. She stated Officer Scott had his hands on Ms. Everette’s neck and repeatedly threw her up and down on their bed in a forceful
