Competitive cheerleading has been my passion ever since I was six years old, but not until I became an athlete at Kansas City Athletic Cheer did I fall in love with it. Being a part of the highest level team at Kansas City Athletic Cheer, Platinum, meant that cheer would become my entire life. I lived for the hard practices, competing in front of thousands of spectators around the country, and most importantly being a part of something that was bigger than myself. This place was filled with coaches and teammates that unfailingly brightened my day. Whenever I had a bad day or just felt down, it was always my place to go to escape reality and release stress.
Before 10th grade, I had an insufficiently rigorous course load to yield a competitive GPA. After taking the most rigorous classes for a year and boosting my GPA, I have decided to help my classmates tackle the competition at my school by helping them organize their schedules and classes for future academic years. I have reached out to these classmates through class projects and tutoring sessions. So far, I have helped about five teenagers become competitive. I have also frequently volunteered at a local food pantry.
I excel in scholarship. Throughout my high school career, I have maintained a 4.139 GPA. I consider academics to be very valuable and strive for high grades in all my classes. I’ve taken two AP classes,
I feel I will be an asset to Holly Academy’s Chapter of National Junior Honor Society because I render worthwhile service to the school and community, participate in school activities, and show courtesy by assisting teachers, visitors, and students. Additionally, I have two marking periods of experience in Student Leadership. I also have a strong work ethic and sense of volunteerism. Finally, I believe I will be an asset to the Holly Academy Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society because I have high academic and behavioral standards, a willingness and desire to help others, and an ambition to become a
I have also received first or highest honors with all progress reports. During this year, so far, my lowest grade was a ninety-five. Even with these outstanding academic achievements, I still want to make a difference in the world. Within the last couple of years, I played with a group for The Salvation Army in order to raise money around Christmas time for the less fortunate. I am part of the marching band which is a large commitment, but my participation in all activities done by the band shows my enjoyment and dedication in this co-curricular activity.
As a student, I strive for excellence. In middle school, I was a member of the National Junior Honor Society at Strong Foundations Charter School. As a sophomore, I have taken two math classes and gone without a study hall to be able to fulfill my academic desires. I have also taken Honors level classes since my first semester of high school and continuously make the honor roll. I aim to continue to take honors and AP classes to be able to reach my full potential as a student.
One accomplishment I would like to accomplish this year is to start liking to read. Because if I like to read, then I can read and write my summary about what I read for reading class in school. And another reason why I want to start to like to read is because I could then take a quiz on the books and try to make it to the AR parties more often. I have more things that I would like to accomplish this year and some of them are getting my grades higher, making a lot more friends, and getting high achiever. This year, I am one of the A-B honor roll students, but I would like to get to be one of the “all A’s students for honor roll.
My academic achievements throughout my high school career show that hard work and dedication truly do pay off in the long run. All throughout my sophomore
Finally, I believe that I can make a positive contribution to the Honors College program. I hold myself to high academic standards and am committed to working hard to achieve my goals. I enjoy collaborating with fellow students and professors and approach challenges with a positive attitude and drive to succeed. I am confident that my passion for learning and strong work ethic will inspire and motivate my peers to push themselves to achieve their full
As a student in highschool, I contribute to numerous teams. I participate in cheerleading for varsity football and basketball. For cheerleading we all work together and create cheers and dances that we perform at games. We also are assigned to compose cheers by ourselves to teach the whole squad. I have been a cheerleader for three years now.
I am proud of this accomplishment and enjoy playing this role on my team very much. Within my two high school years I have found that I have a high work ethic and enthusiasm in my work. I am proud at where I stand in my classes with the high grades that I achieve. I have a 4.0 GPA and a clean disciplinary record.
I am looking for more than just academics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. During my four years at Northwood High School, I became involved in numerous academic and extracurricular activities. As a result, I have been recognized and honored for achievements both inside and outside of school. I realize that titles and academic achievements are limited, but some of the impact I have on my community and other people’s lives is what really matters. Therefore, I plan to continue my active involvement in extracurricular activities while I am a college student.
Cheerleading has taught me so many life lessons and has given me the opportunity to meet new people from all over the country and learn from their accomplishments. I learned that even after failure one must learn from his or her mistakes and to make those improvements where necessary. It was not about proving those who doubted me wrong, but to give those who had the same desire an example. It also helped me serve as that kind of ambassador for the school. This has helped me look at the world and ask myself what is missing from it that I am able to provide.
My first year of school cheerleading, I have really grown to love the game of basketball and football, and cheer during games. I love to be interactive during the games and be on the side lines to cheer the players
My high school is highly competitive and I’m grateful that I was surrounded by such wonderful peers and teachers. Completing high school, I received 12th place out of almost 450 students, with a weighted GPA of 4.244. Despite my hard course load,
