My Earring In Nepal

Different people have a different perspective on themselves and have their own perspective towards others. Likewise, I have my own unique object that tells others something about my identity and that object is my earring(s). Along with different reasons, I like to wear my earrings because they look fitting and it is made out of gold. I always thought wearing golden earrings was special because they are expensive especially for a boy who was born in a small country Nepal. Nepal is a very rich country when it comes to natural resources, yet very underdeveloped and financially poor. Back when I was in Nepal, I went to a very small school called PES Extension B School with the population of fewer than one hundred students. During my middle school career in Nepal was when I was first introduced to the idea of wearing earrings through one my classmate. Since most people in Nepal have their ear pierced as early as five months old, one of my classmate 's ears were already pierced but he did not have any earrings put on because he simply could not afford seven hundred rupees(Nepal currency), which was very common and understandable in Nepal. Because of it, he would fold a piece of paper and make into a round-shaped earring, then he would put that on the left ear. In Nepal, it was only appropriate if a boy puts on an earring on the left side of his ear, otherwise, he would be considered as a girl by your friends and people who were uneducated.
