My Experience In A Chicano Class

My learning experience in the class so far has been a good experience. With everything I’ve learned so far in the class it has been very helpful for the beginning of my college experience as well as being able to take what I’ve learned in this class and apply it into my work in other classes.
With my learning experience I have gathered from the class so far i was able to write 15 different source reviews. This wasn't easy at first but the more I did the more I understood how to do it. Choosing my topic for my source review was difficult at first but once I realized I needed to write about something that intrigued me the most and would be the most fun to write about it became much clearer. My topic was Chicano educational justice and I chose the topic mainly because of personal experiences, I am a hispanic female student who is majoring in education and knowing that that really wouldn't have been possible without the Chicano movement is what really drove me to choose it as a topic and reflect over it. So once I was able to choose a topic I wasn't really sure how I was going to be able to access credible information except for google, which isn't always credible, so with learning in the class how to find credible sources by accessing and using my library resources and electronic databases made it much easier find credible sources …show more content…

For example in my history class I have to prepare an essay over the book “I Am A Man”. The knowledge of this class has taught me to be able to write this essay I must know what audience, context, purpose and exigence and how they apply to the book. By learning what those words mean I am able to understand the importance of the book by asking myself why the book is important, why I am reading it and really understand the subject of the book, this will help by making my paper thoughtful and
