A mentor is someone that is experienced and trusted by others. Bill Rago and Brian Miller are both amazing mentors. Bill Rago is the main character of the Renaissance Man. He has to go to the army to teach a group of students that struggle to learn. Each student has certain problems that Bill has to help them solve and overcome. My father’s name is Brian Miller. He works at Schindler Elevator Company and is the manager. He is a leader at work and at home. Both Bill Rago and my father are great mentors because they are caring, strong and positive, and respected, but my father is extremely different and a much greater mentor. They both are caring. Bill keeps on trying to help the students, no matter what obstacles come his way. My dad cares about my family and his workers. One difference about them being so caring is that my father has always been caring towards others, but Bill Rago needed time to grow in caring for his students and his child. Bill and my dad are strong and positive. Although, my father is much more strong physically and mentally. Bill Rago is not built physically, but is strong mentally. My father is someone who is much more physically built. He looks more like a great mentor than Bill does. Even though Bill is strong mentally, my father is much more mentally strong. My father sometimes goes through days without rest and is always on the move. Also, both of them are well respected. Bill is respected and admired by all his students in and out of the classroom. My father is respected in his job by his workers. Although, my father is much more respected by his workers and family. We always have had respect for my father and we admire him. He is someone that is given respect by all people that speak to him. On the contrary, Bill is someone that is not someone that a person would respect right away when they meet him.
