Jackie Robinson went to Hawaii in 1941 to join the semiprofessional football team, the Honolulu Bears. After the season had ended, Jackie then intended to be a running back for the Los Angeles Bulldogs. But the Japanese attacked Pearl harbor at this time and that interrupted and unfortunately ended Jackie's football career. Jackie wasn't a good football player. He was a great football player.
Way back then when football was first created it was mainly white men who played. It was after WWII when all of that had changed. The compromise of racial segregation was ended by Kenny Washington in the NFL, he was the inspiration for other black men to play football in the NFL, and Now the NFL is Mostly Black athletes who work hard and love to play the sport. WWII had just ended and people like Jackie Robinson were just coming home from the second great World War. The Jim Crow laws had just been implied for blacks.

“When Jimmy was first getting chemotherapy for cancer and could not go home, the children felt sad because they missed their father. Every Sunday, we would all go see him and watch the Patriots’ games. He loved teaching his children that they could do whatever they desired and to never give up on their dreams no matter how tough it gets,” Roda said in an interview with the Boston Globe after the passing of her husband in 2080. Jimmy said something that Leslie never forgot. Leslie’s lifelong friend, Emma Pacheco said that Jimmy told her, “When I die, I will be okay.
He couldn’t help it (432).” This tells you that he is still just a boy at this point, but he knows that he should not be thinking of Martha he should be worrying about the lives of his men. Even so, Lavender is now dead and Jimmy holds himself responsible: “He would dispose of his good luck pebble. Swallow it, maybe… (437).” Mainly he is trying to get rid of all feelings for Martha, he cared more for her and himself, but he does care also about his
Ulysses S. Grant, The Unlikely Hero by Michael Korda is a story about the life of Ulysses S. Grant. Grant became one of the first presidents to be elected without barely giving a speech. He was a very humble dude and he never bragged about stuff. An example is in high school when they had won the championship and he stated that it was a team effort but he kinda carried the team is my understanding. Another example is when he saw the twin towers crumble with his own eyes and in his mind he knew he had to do something about it. If he wasn't modest I don't think he would have done anything to change his life. Last example is when he went to college and started on special teams and finally got to be starting on defense.
While watching this movie Ray Kinsella, the main character he was on a journey or quest to please the voices that were telling him to “...build it and he will come.” His journey throughout this while movie was to please the voice telling him to do odd things that he had no clue what to do. With enough small clues he ended up figuring out what to do. Ray Kinsella shows many traits of an epic hero. In fact, he shows all of the traits in the slightest ways or even in the boldest ways.
Tim Tebow was more than just an athlete. He was Christian, and showed it on the field. He led Florida to two national championships, won the Heisman, and was chosen first round pick for the broncos and helped them get their first playoff win since 2005. Through being traded to the jets, becoming third-string for the eagles, and now playing minor league baseball, he has remained one man. A hero.
After any loss his team suffered, he would admit his mistakes and not try and blame others. Another trait would be resilience. Even after he suffered a painful neck injury that required surgery and was let go by the Indianapolis colts, he kept going. Eventually he was signed by the Denver Broncos, and won Super Bowl 50 in his last year playing football. (Campbell)

Despite the help from women these philosophies were not committed to advocating equality for women.
