Importance: I think that it is important because it brings up the discussion in how important their hair is to them. They had to change it and it made them feel like a different person. Analysis: This keeps them out of trouble and then people will not expect it to be them. This also shows how important their appearance is to them, and how their hair is a major part of their identity.
I’ve been out climbing mountains for the last week, now i’m realizing this is not acceptable. For me, mirrors are a symbol of me returning to civilization, specifically starting to care again about my appearance. Over the course of the book, hair is mentioned a lot. Chapter 1, before we know Ralph’s name, he is described as a “fair haired boy”. Ralph is described in chapter 7 as “[wanting] a pair of scissors and [to] cut his hair”.
Hair is something that many people value and try hard to make look good. Ponyboy values his hair because it’s who he is really, he’s a greaser and most greasers have that type of styled hair. Well in chapter 5 of the outsider, Ponyboy got his hair cut and bleached, and wasn’t too excited about it. Ponyboy thinks, “It was my pride. It was long and silky, just like Soda’s only and little redder” (71).
Keyana describes why she loves her hair, “I love my hair, because it’s as thick as a forest and as soft as cotton candy…” Lastly, Keyana talks about wearing her favorite hairstyle of all, “two

Carlos’s hair shows that he is naturally talented at things, because he doesn 't need to comb it. Nenny slips away from you and can never be caught, just like her hair. Kiki has hair like fur, which suggests a childish feature, because fur is associated with cute animals. Finaly, Esperanza’s mother’s hair, which “smells like bread”, could represent hope and freedom from being a lower income family. I think this because, it is described as being like rosettes,
Jin’s new "hairstyle" makes him seem more white than Chinese; therefore, from his perspective, it makes him seem more "interesting" to others in the school. This is proven by the description: *Once Jin gains a crush on a white girl (Ameilia), which influences him to get permed hair like other white boys in his class (Greg)," (Yang, 97). This symbolises his internal struggle with self-acceptance. He particularly looks towards Greg for fashion ideas because Greg is part of an accepted group that Amelia is part of, which reflects Jin’s need to belong. Furthermore, it can be argued that Jin's personal growth is portrayed by his hair transforming back to before the perm at the end of the book.
Yes, I am a hairstylist and I work at a chain salon. No, it 's not "hard labor" and yes, there are much tougher jobs out there. But if you 've never worked in a hair salon, then you don 't understand half of it. Everyday I am talked down to and treated badly by some jackass who thinks they 're better than me because I "just do hair".

Hi my naturalists, I 've been natural for a year and a few months (I transitioned); however, I recently noticed my hair has broken off a little in the front. The culprit is unknown, however it may be from putting too much heat on it (leave out from see-ins)... Anyways, I 'm considering doing the big chop (this Friday). However, I don 't wanna have to cut it so low mainly because I 'm just scared I 'm gonna look like a boy lol; so what do you guys recommend? Should I take another route or just suck it up and cut
From the very beginning of my existence, my mom slapped a huge pink bow on my hairless baby head to announce to the world that I was a girl. She mainly dressed me in white, pastel pink, and yellow dresses, with the same pink bow. As I grew a bit older, my hair grew longer. That, for some unknown reason, encouraged my dad to slick my golden curly hair back
