“I should be with you!” But my husband hadn’t gone on a vacation in five years; his every waking moment had been spent caring for me, taking care of my broken body, my needs, managing my illness. Because of that, I forced him to go on this trip. It took months of convincing, but he finally relented, and his sister had gone along with him.
Every night, 365 days a year the sun sets in Key West is a part of someone’s night. The light goes out, but the city is still awake. Everywhere in Key West there is either food, art, or someone showing off a cool talent. The hot humid days turn into cool humid nights. The stars and moon come out and dance to the music.
I just recently visited Miami Beach, Florida and I found out that they have really bad mosquitos because of the Zika Virus. “Florida has confirmed local transmissions of Zika Virus are occurring in two areas Miami - Dade County (floridahealth).” I was packing up all of my stuff for my trip to Miami Beach, Florida because I have really been wanting to go see my cousin Jaxon. We haven't seen each other in so long because we live About 18 hours apart. I had to stop at the gas station a few times but it was worth it.
When I Went To Florida I went to Florida after 4th grade in the summer. When we went to Florida, Jaxon my sisters, brother came with us. The night before we left he stayed at my house. When we left the next morning we left at 3:00 A.M. While we were on our way we both had to sit in the very back of the car because my sisters came with us. The ride there was not fun at all.
Time. 10:19 p.m. South Florida. The traffic light rests at red for an eternity, mocking me with its condescending gaze. I quickly turned my head both directions, not a car in sight for what it seemed to be miles.
When I was a child the world never seemed to stretch beyond my home town Tallahassee Florida. Through my young eyes it was so massive and expansive that I couldn’t fathom the concept of their possibly being areas existing outside of it. Out of all of the areas of Tallahassee I was familiar with, I was familiar with my neighborhood the most. I lived in a reddish-brown brick house that had a dark Oakwood colored roof on it. Up until the mid-2000’s the house was very dark to the presence of dark colored paint on the house and was often covered by spiders.
The feel of sand reminds me of ludington michigan. Although it might rained every time I went there it was one of my favorite camping trips ever. ludington was a beautiful place to camp, r.v., and visit. It was one of those places where you wish you could stay longer after every day. One day my family decided to camping for a couple of days, because we had nothing to do for that week.
Winters in Florida can be great. When the rest of the country is buried under a foot of snow Floridians are slipping on their flip flops and heading to the beach. One thing that I do not like about Florida winters is most weeks we experience all four seasons in one week. We may start and end the week with 80-degree sunny weather but during the week we wake up one day and it is 27 the next morning it rains followed by 75 then back to 30. We can have a severe frost on Monday and be in shorts by Friday.
My heart was briskly pumping. I have never been this fearful and apprehensive for anything in my life. The event that would transform my life forever was happening. This was the day I was going to move out of Florida When I was informed of the news at the beginning of the summer, I was unsure on how to react.
It was a rainy, gloomy afternoon, my sister and I were watching TV when we heard my parents talking to their friend about moving to Florida. My sister and I looked at each other with confused faces and asked each other if we are moving. Of course, we were clueless because my parents did not mention anything about moving to us. We asked my parents if we are moving and they said yes we are going to be moving to Florida. When my sister and I heard Florida, the first thing we thought was we are going to die from a tornado, because we thought Florida had a lot of hurricanes, earthquakes, and natural disasters.
If I could be anywhere right now I would choose to be on the beach in Florida. I would be in Fort Myers Beach, Florida because that is my favorite place to visit in Florida. When I visit Florida I enjoy laying around the pool and going to the beach. Florida is my ideal place for relaxation, it clears my head. I always have a hard time saying goodbye to Florida because I always have such a great time when I visit.
Coming to Miami I can still remember that gloomy sky on October 21st 2001. It seemed like a normal day to me, yet that day would change my life forever. I remember my mother rushing around the house trying to gather my brother’s clothes while I just sat on the floor observing so much commotion around me. For an 8 year old, I was a very hipper child. I ran around the house, climbed trees, sat on the roof top which was 3 floors high.

Alabama Trip My mom and and dad told me in December that we were going to Gulf Shores, Alabama to visit my grandparents. Gulf Shores is the southernmost town in Alabama, located on the north coast of the Gulf of Mexico. I have been there twice when I was little. I remember that I collected seashells and went swimming with Boppa in the pool.
