No matter who someone's hero is one thing stays the same. A hero is someone that has strived to help out of their own will. Anyone could be a hero. However not everyone is a hero. Being a hero takes courage.
In my opinion, Dorothea Dix fits my definition of a hero because she not only did something to improve the life of one person, she improved the lives of thousands, without worrying about the consequences of her actions. That day when she went to teach Sunday school in East Cambridge, she could have done nothing about the terrible conditions that the prisoners had to endure. She could have chosen to ignore them. But instead, she let her courageous and nurturing ways take over, and she campaigned for the rights of those
A hero is someone who is brave, smart, and courageous and has also accomplished something heroic that was influential in some way. My hero is Kobe Bryant who committed to helping many of the world's problems such as when he donated money to the Make A Wish Foundation in order to help sick kids with harmful diseases or when he made an impact on the After-school All-Star program. Kobe Bryant was a hero because he helped sick kids in need by granting 250 wishes to the Make A Wish Foundation and made an effort contributing to the After-School All-star program which provided new opportunities for more than 90,000 kids. Kobe Bryant was an american professional basketball player that was well known for his 5 NBA championships and overall one of the best basketball
Long ago, about 2000 years, when King Herod ruled Judea (now part of Israel), God sent the angel Gabriel to a young woman who lived in the northern town of Nazareth. The girl's name was Mary and she was engaged to marry Joseph. The Christmas Story - Gabriel visiting Mary The angel Gabriel said to Mary: 'Peace be with you! God has blessed you and is pleased with you.'
To me, a hero is someone who is admirable and does good things but isn't perfect. Ruby Bridges is a hero because she helped desegregate schools so all skin colors can go to any school and receive the same education as white people instead of only getting taught certain things. She managed to do it even when she had almost nobody supporting her and even with multiple people saying bad words and traumatizing her she still managed to carry out her idea and desegregate
My sisters and I have all had our problems dealing with mental health, and even substance abuse. She has always stayed by our side and was there to help when we couldn’t help
My personal Michigan hero is my seventh grade social studies teacher, Ms. Dokter. Though I am not a personal friend of hers, per say, she had a tremendous impact on my life. She made me laugh, told me that I could do whatever I put my mind to, and was an amazing educator. Seventh grade was tough for me at times. I was at a new school, and it seemed like everyone knew what they were doing except me.
Scott LaBarge’s essay “Heroes: Why Heroes are Important” is well written because he effectively uses pathos, logos, and karios when explaining heroes to his audience. When something goes wrong or we feel like we cannot continue, we could all use someone to step in and change our situation. Everyone needs a hero. LaBarge gives an excellent example from his high school days; Thoreau inspired him and became his hero. The high school period of one’s life is a difficult period.
My Michigan Hero “The moments of happiness we enjoy take us by surprise. It’s not that we seize them, but that they seize us.” - Ashley Montagu. That quote is one of the best quotes that captures my hero. My hero, Dan McPartlin (my grandfather) has had it rough.
Whether it’s sending me loving texts through out the day, or making my favorite meal after a long day, her worries and care for me never dies down.
My Michigan Hero “You never know until you try” that 's what my brothers always tell me when they think I should try something new. My oldest brother Jacques is 23 years old and just graduated from Michigan State University and is now attending grad school, my second oldest brother Jaquil is 21 years old and is a Senior at Western Michigan and finally my third oldest brother Jessiah is 16 years old and is a junior in high school at Jackson High School. The reason my brothers inspire me is because they teach me new things that they learned. One way my brothers inspire me is they always motivate me to get better and are always confident in me. Ways they motivate me to get better is because they always tell me I can do better or they say they can do better than that.
My hero What is hero to you? A hero to me is a person who overcomes obstacles that almost everyone can't overcome, a person who does amazing things and is humble, a person who inspires people to do better or more than average and that is what my hero does for me. My hero is an amazing person with amazing talents.
She is always willing to help me anytime with anything as is the same from myself to her. She is the voice of reason in my recent struggles and always reminds me why its important not to drink myself into a hurricane of anger and that trying to cure Humanity with Anger instead of Love, Is never the way to prevail! These closely knit important people as well as including numerous other closely related family members, Seven uncles on each side and 2 Aunts, and numerous friends that also live in close
Either it be physically or emotionally. The hero in your life may be someone who you love and trust and know will always be there for you in a time of need. A hero supports you, and assures you safety. The American heroes, or our soldiers, are great examples. They fight for not only our freedom, but for freedom and protection for their loved ones.
She always does anything she can to ensure that I and everyone else in my family and her own friends are a safe and comfortable. She has also effected the way I have changed from the time I was a child to now. If she was not the person I know her to be then I guarentee that I would not be the same person I am today. When I was a child I did not care about the consistencies of things and now I understand that everything I do and change will end as something different.
