In “How to Handle a Bully,” by Kathiann Kowalski, an experienced journalist, Kowalski reports the different strategies to stop bullying. She informs that bullying is at its peak in the late teenage years, but can start in an early age. Kowalski concurs that girls intimidates as much as boys; however, they do it differently. She explores many reasons why bullying occurs at the first place, and who starts bullying. Kowalski exemplifies the situations that victims could be in, and the solution on how to handle the bully.
“Fine,” she replied. He reached into his mauve brief case and pulled out the photos he took on his phone. “Is this you?” He asked, sliding the photos over to her.
Everytime Tiffany or Sharon told on the rest of the class they got bullied even more and they realized it so they just accepted the bullying. Which mentally would put you in the place of accepting that you are not as good as the
Mr. James F. Dicke II is an outstanding man with whom I share similar challenges. Just like Mr. Dicke had been bullied severely so was I. I am a diligent student and in band, which isn’t popular. I have severe asthma making it difficult to participate in sports. These have been contributing factors to why I was bullied. I have been bullied since primary school and believed every word they had told me.
I later on picked up English in first grade where of course like any other kid I was bullied. The stage in my life when I got bullied makes up a lot of who I am today and my identity. Because of the rude comments and actions my own classmates took towards me I became more to myself, lonely, and very afraid of rejection. Although those are the
“Very, what about you ?” I responded quickly. He then answered
I looked different, and was treated differently. I was often bullied for who I was and thought the best way to make it stop, was to fit in. I started wearing similar clothing, walking, talking and acting like the kids around me. I had lost whom I was, was no better assimilated, and was still picked on. I had enough.
I have had a few experiences with people being cruel because of our physical differences. When I was 9 I was diagnosed with a rare condition called Chiari Malformation. Chiari Malformation is a condition in which brain tissue extends into your spinal canal, it occurs when part of your skull is abnormally small or misshapen, pressing on your brain and forcing it down , because of this condition I have had to have several brain surgeries which of course left scars. I remember one time in particular verbal bullying effected my life, a few months after my first surgery, I was visiting with some friends and I had my hair pulled up into a bun, one of the girls I was with pointed at my scar and said ¨ that´s disgusting you need to cover it up no one needs to see that¨. I don 't know if she knew how much that affected me, but because of those few words I was so self-conscious I never cut my hair short, or let anyone see my scars even if they asked. I shouldn´t have to feel ashamed of something that saved my life, but because it made me different I was bullied by several people I thought were my friends.
‘No place indeed should murder sanctuarize; Revenge should have no bounds” (IV, VII, 124-125). King Claudius has no boundaries for any such case of revenge to claiming a spot on the throne. King Claudius an antagonist is a cruel, unforceful, and neglect ant king who changes throughout the storyline. King Claudius shows his attitude and passion to be king through his character as well as his appearance. To begin with, King Claudius is a deviant, mistrustful, and shrewd character in the Tragedy Hamlet.
A bully forces an athletic person to hide their abilities because the bully does not want to be see as inferior. A bully forces a tomgirl to dress more girly because if not the tomgirl will be excluded, forcing equality. A bully makes the intelligent act stupid so no nerd jokes can be made against them. This is what I suffered through middle school. Forced equality took away my happiness, my expressions, my unique aspects.
I prepared myself for the daily group of bullies who are usually waiting to throw a couple of them insults about my family or appearance. However, I was faced with somethin’ much worse. Scout Finch. Seeing the lack of idleness in her beady eyes, I turned around and began to run to playground. Luckily, I was wearin’ my work clothing, for it allowed me to gain an advantage over Scout who was wearing a dress.
I looked up, and a girl I never saw before was standing across from my table. “My name is Summer, by the way. What’s yours?” “August.” “Cool,” she said.
When I get to school i’m greeted by my female name, the name I was born with. “Elizabeth,” they say with a smile on their face. I force a smile, forcing down the bile in the back of my throat and make my way over to my small group of friends, joining the semi-circle they’ve formed. They grin “Morning, Ian!”
Bullying in Schools What seems fun and harmless for some students, is painful and degrading to others. Bullying has been a critical issue around schools, but before it was not as dangerous and know as it is now. These do not means bullying was not happening, it means it was not taken into consideration by parents or teachers. They thought it was just peer pressure or a kids game, and sooner or later the kids would be friends again. At one point, bullies think it’s normal to be mean and abusive to other students.
"May I talk to Miss Richards please?" The person asked. " This is Miss Richards."
