My Passions I personally believe that I am a multipotentialite. I do not have one particular passion, I have many. I love talking to people, planning, and most importantly helping people figure out what to do, and how to do it. According to Emile Wapnick in her Ted Talk not every person has one specific passion. She states that a multipotentialite is “someone with many interests and creative pursuits” (Wapnick, 2015, 6:02). I have many different interests, and they are always changing. When I was growing up I wanted to be a nail technician, now I would like to become a Substance Abuse Counselor, or a Travel Agent. In my future I hope to overcome the restrictions that are thrown my way. I have no clue what restrictions I am going to face a month from now, or even ten years from now. But I personally believe that I am going to be my biggest restriction, I am my biggest critic. Fear of criticism and judgement are going to be the next two big restrictions I am going to face. In my sixteen year journey of trying to find who I am as a person, I have always worried too much about what other people think of me. I am the type of person who always wants to please everyone else, I rarely ever even think about pleasing myself. I am trying my best to worry less about pleasing everyone, and worrying about what other people think about me. I have so much more to worry about than the opinion of someone, who has no effect on who I am. I am not afraid of much, I am more afraid of failure more than anything else. I am not scared of success itself, but I am afraid of what I will have to go through to be able to become successful. Every restriction I face and overcome have made me who I am today, and I would not change anything that has happened in my life. If I did not have to overcome the restrictions I face, I do not believe that I would be the same person that I am
