A. There are several significant discussion points and topics that I want to address with my site supervisor about my interactive presentation. My goal is for faculty, administrators, and parents to understand the importance and need for school counselors according to the Missouri Comprehensive and Guidance Counseling Program. I want to ask my supervisor what she believes are the most important roles and responsibilities of a school counselor that I should include and incorporate into my presentation. I will consult multiple resources in order to create my presentation. One source is the Missouri Comprehensive and Guidance Counseling Program manual. This will allow me to review the various components of the MCGCP model and provide important information and vocabulary to include in my presentation. A second source that I will consult is the American Association for School Counselors website. This website provides a wealth of information regarding the roles and responsibilities of the school counselor. I will consult with my supervisor to address any issue or concerns I have regarding my presentation as well as consult her for any idea or advice on what I should include in my presentation to make it interactive and informative for my audience. She challenges me to always put forth my best effort and to do my very best. She has many great ideas and provides constructive feedback to ensure that my work is the best quality. I can incorporate the feedback into my presentation and make adjustments where necessary. Another source that I will consult is fellow colleagues who have already completed this presentation in order to generate ideas and receive feedback on how to make my presentation successful. My hope is that they will be able to provide me with techniques to engage my audience and build rapport.
