My Semi-Patriotic Role Model When I think of the word hero I think of someone who is kind, generous, forgiving, and an all around a good person. Although, I might say inspiration instead of hero, I 'd say my dad has the traits that fall into the category of being my Michigan hero. My dad comes from a, as you might say, different background. His mother, my grandmother, was in a physically abusive relationship. It sounds scary and most likely was. My dad later on went into the military and sacrificed his time and energy to serve our country.
