Hi Everyone, This year has moved very fast. It is already spring and everyone is gearing up for summer. I am proud to say we finally completed our goal setting meeting with Rick Alpers from Primex. It was encouraging to create something that will guide our executive board for the next year and a half. These goals can only be obtained and completed without the help of membership. NHRPA has transitioned over the last few years with an executive director addition. If NHRPA is going to stay a strong practical association, we need to continue to transition further to achieve stability. I believe the goals outlined will help at a crucial time for the association. What does our association do in welcoming new professional’s members? We need to welcome these new professionals into the association better. We need to set up a welcome/mentoring program so that these new members introducing them to another professional to bounce ideas off as well as ask questions. I can never say enough thanks to those professionals that let me speak with them when I first joined the field. We need to let the new members know the true benefits of joining this association and why together we will be successful. We need to find ways to increase membership both professionally and commercially. When we attract new commercial members we need to show them our appreciation for them by contacting them for any of our needs that fit their company. We should work with these vendors to get the best deals for NHRPA members possible. We have the buying power and should exert it. As the association grows, we need to set up and internal audit team. This team would assure the members that the NHRPA financials are strong and accounted for. I feel this is an important committee as the revenue increases with the success of some of the different programs such as Granite State Track and Field, The State Conference as well as The Wink Tapply Playground Leadership Workshop.
