There are many ways to describe Naomi Erlanger. I say she is full of surprises since she seems to always notice her mistakes usually at the end. Naomi is a timid person since she doesn’t feel as comfortable in her own self. She is in love with Zach Powers though he is a bad influence, she still hangs out with him due to his look and popularity. Naomi doesn’t have self-confidence as she said in chapter 6 regarding about Zach Powers “ It was tough to compete with Lena, who was naturally pretty and had very strong personality.” That statement is telling us she thinks that Lena is better than her reason being Lena is ‘perfect’ though she is just a normal girl like Naomi. She always shy and thinks that others like Zach Powers is in a higher position in popularity which makes him cool but in reality, she is better than him. Next, I think Naomi is jealous as well. Naomi seems to always to talk about Lena and tries to impress him in many ways as she can. She is jealous that Lena might steal Zach Powers from being her boyfriend. …show more content…
By that I mean she doesn’t seem to know that there is more than impressing Zach in the world and that’s not an important thing. She is basically letting Zach use her for anything that she doesn’t agree to by heart. Naomi follows and does whatever Zach says no matter how bad or how much it might affect another's feelings. For example, she said “The minute I shot the spitball in the cafeteria, I could feel Zach noticing me. He said, “ Nice trajectory,” and he asked if he could finish my Tater Tots.
