Golden light from a Texas sunset illuminating stark white fields of cotton, green and yellow tractors leisurely making their way down the middle of Main Street, and a community that will always support you are just a few things one might experience if you came to my hometown in rural Texas. Matador, Texas isn't just a dusty old town in the middle of nowhere, it is a town that no matter who you are or what you are trying to do, hard work is always required; it is where I grew up from the day I was born, spent lazy summer days reading and writing abstract stories without distractions of people, traffic, or even the ever-present cell phone, and where I learned about a whole other side of society, one where the community gathers together for anything

Texas’s geography is diverse throughout its regions. Texas has 4 regions, the mountain and basin, the Coastal plains, the North Central plains, and the Great plains. Each region is a different type of geography unique to its own. These regions also have their own big cities that have their own characteristics. Every city has its own focus on what they want to make in that city.
I live at 11906 Connan Court, Austin Texas which would be my absolute location. My relative location is north Lamar Blvd. west of I35 south of Parmer lane. Before you pass the Brent wood church you take an immediate right and then another right at the first street you come to and it will be the second house on the right. We live on a cul-de-sac which me and my siblings play tag around.
When observing the increasing presence and influence of minorities within Texas one can see how much of an impact these communities have had on the state of Texas by shaping it into a state filled with diversity, cultural roots, and innovation to grow the community. Texas is a big state with a lot of diversity as well. “It has the nation’s second-largest economy” (Texas 6) according to the Texas Civic Health Index. Despite all the Texas greatness and large land there is one thing that is still not so big on, which is voting. Surprisingly only twenty-two percent of Texans vote. This leaves Texas being second to last with the lowest voting rate.
Moving to Kansas was a big change in my life. At the end of the school year of 2011, four weeks before the last day of school we went on the eight hour road trip to Newton, Kansas. It was exciting. Getting a new place to live, a new home. Change is good, well mostly good.
I learned that life is going to be messy and different. I changed for the better after the move and I wouldn’t be who I am if I
The Buffet for Meat Lovers Whenever you want to have an expensive dinner or a buffet of meats, the first thing that should come to your head is a Texas de Brazil’s. I can remember two times I’ve been to Texas de Brazil. But the most memorable memory was the second time. My parents took me and my sisters because the next day I would be getting my braces so I wouldn’t be able to eat all that meat in one sitting, my braces would prevent me from eating. I also was able to go to the salad bar and pick out as many entrée’s as I wanted.
Texas is a great state to be in. At times I rather live in Texas then any other state. My allergies are bad with this Texas weather. It changes so often we never know what each day will be. I was in Colorado and New York and my breathing and allergies were fine.
I have always enjoyed meeting new people. Experiencing new cultures and people can give a while new perspective on life. Luckily for me, I have moved around a lot so I have had many chances to meet many kinds of people. When I first moved to Texas, there were always kids running around outside and everything seemed green, lush, and bright. I had never seen so much energy in children while living in Minnesota.
This changed my life because on one hand it reminded me of how easily life can be taken away, but on the other hand it showed me how true miracles work. Another one was this summer when I traveled to Europe for three weeks. It was the most incredible experience! It opened my eyes to new cultures and new ways of thinking. My most recent event would definitely be college.
With everyone now aboard the cruise ship, I can’t even hear myself think! The sound of adults and children overwhelmed with excitement and bursting with laughter fills the sea air. “We’ll be departing for the Caribbean islands shortly,” exclaims Captain George Johnson. This is my cue to start making way to my compact yet cozy room to unpack my belongings for my ten day trip.
The debt my parents has on me, I felt like I am paying something off. Now you might wonder why I 'm telling you my life story. I believe this journey from Bangladesh to the United States has transformed me into a completely different person. Throughout this journey, I have learned a lot more about myself. I am determined to try and overcome any challenge that comes along the way.
