Returning back to college at this time in my life, is purely God lead and directed. When He calls, even if I’m late, I have found it is better to answer with obedience than not. The blessings that follow including the opportunity to grow closer to Christ make it all worthwhile. While Biblical Studies is not the adventure I imagined as child I would experience, the Lord has not forgotten me and continues to keep me on my toes with adventure around every corner. I am a wife to a husband who consistently works overtime to ensure our family’s needs are met. I have 3 daughters: 8, 3 ½ and 1 ½ , two furry Puggle babies: Butchie and Rio, who need just as much love and attention as my daughters, if not more. We now need to pack and move, despite our efforts, we do not have another home lined up. In 1 month we were going to have a family reunion to mourn and celebrate the life of the matriarch in my father’s family. My Grandma Katherine passed right before Christmas last year. I hope to have painted a clear picture of my life right now, not to complain, but to explain, if it were up to I alone, I surely wouldn’t have chosen to return to school now, but God. Yes, but God, He sees things beyond how I see them. He stretches me beyond my abilities so that I may continue to lean on Him. It’s my own fault I can be very stubborn and prideful, if life did not challenge me, I would not lean on God as much as I do. I have tried to take on life’s challenges in my own strength, in the end I became very sick, tired and stressed. Lessons learned at this point, lessons I hope to apply towards my education with Colorado Christian University. I am excited for this adventure ahead; I cannot wait to see what it is that God has in store for my journey ahead. I do not plan to become a pastor, but maybe I’ll have the opportunity to work with children’s ministry in a different capacity than I do now. Possibly counseling
