This week I visited three of my patients. On Tuesday I visit Esteban Guzman and Peggy Willis. During my visit with Esteban was quiet and smooth because he was concentrating on writing in his notebook. Something that I notice that was weird was that he moved to a different room and was placed on the first floor. I don’t know why they moved him there, but it was odd to me. He kept falling asleep and waking up and looked on the side to see if I was there, I just smiled. When it was time for me to leave I had to say goodbye and told him I will be back next week and he said “okay”. My experience with Esteban was quiet and calm. My second patient that I saw was Ms. Peggy Willis. During my visit with her was really quiet because when I saw her, she was up and awake watching a movie. One thing that surprised me with Ms. Peggy was that she touched my hand and touched my sweater. I think that was a sign saying she liked my sweater. Afterwards, I read a book and she listened and looked at me. Overall, my visit with Ms. Peggy was quiet. My third patient that I saw on Friday was Ms. Marie for at least four hours. During my visit with her was enjoyable because she remembered me and showed me how to make a bracelet. Ms. Marie showed me her room and she wanted to make some bracelet. In class we discuss how some people may have a hard time to tell if it’s something serious or minor pain. In the reading of the 36-Hour Day it says that if the person cannot tell his or her physician about the pain, then the physician or nurse may have to take a look and search for the cause of the pain. For the next time I can improve by making sure if they need any help and when they fall asleep to make sure I talk to
