NASA Crane Project
The NASA crane project was about designing and making a crane that would go to the moon and work on the moon. This incorporated engineering because building a crane has to have many engineering abilities. The engineering basis was that we had to design a crane that could first be built and have a low cost. Also we had to think of how it would be taken apart to be transported into space with little difficulty. The crane was to have the ability to pick stuff up from the bottom of a crater on the moon. And in order for the people to get the materials from the bottom, the crane would have to turn and dump out the material. The engineering process was applied by that wee had a problem, which was that we had to get material …show more content…

Our problem was that the cushion was not absorbing the impact like it should have. The egg then met up with the cushion, but instead of soft landing, it cracked.what we should have done was make a styrofoam box, which would be added cushion for the egg. Then line the inside of the egg with Mr.Clean Magic Eraser for padding. Then encase the egg in the Magic Eraser. I liked this project because I had to think very hard. I had to think about the force meeting the egg and how to absorb it. I learned that it is not easy. Also I liked it cause i got to see eggs breaking, didn 't learn anything, just for my amusement. And last i like the way i had to …show more content…

The purpose of the project was to design and test a bridge out of balsa would and see how much weight it can hold. This project took longer than expected because of some difficulties, the glue gave us trouble. We didn 't think that the glue was to give out and some of the bridge started to fall apart. The shape of the bridge certainly did help in how much the bridge carried. I definitely did like this project because we had to think of the best shape and the best type of design structure we like and thought would be the best. Also I like to build things out of wood and glue, this made me happy that we did something like this. I Learned when making a bridge, triangles are the best. I also learned that the type of glue used in this project matters. There were a few things that i would change about the project. First of all, the glue. The glue started to crack and break and the pieces of the bridge started to fall off, which made the bridge to be terrible. Also if we could have had more supplies and time, I could have done better.
Also the wood could have been stronger, but I couldn’t help
