The world, as well as ourselves, can become confident. I will encourage scholarship, leadership, and good citizenship with my school and community. With my hardwork, not only shall I benefit, but all that I help shall be benefited as well.
Perseverance is one word to describe how I have accomplished and succeeded in every goal I have committed myself to. Having the opportunity to apply for the National Honors Society is one goal I have so far accomplished this year. This not only demonstrates my hard work in different areas, including academics and clubs, but also my passion for helping others and my community. I think my experience with leadership and volunteer work will not only help me flourish, but also help my peers to flourish outside and inside the Society. As an applicant and future enrolled student of Howard University I too hold many of the university 's core values listed above. Though many of the described values that the university instills into their students are great core values to promote I consider the action of constantly being a leader in any setting of my life the biggest factor when focusing on my growth not only as an adult but as a person. I 'd like to continue by mentioning the fact that I was born a leader. Being the first born and fortunately oldest sister of a very vivacious and boisterous young lady has attributed to the process I follow when making decisions that not only affect me but her as well. The National Honor Society is built upon four founding principles: Scholarship, Character, Leadership, and Service. I have a high school life filled with dedication to these four principles on the Spiritual standpoint, the Familial level, the Community level and finally at the National level. Moreover, I did begin my dedication to these same four principles even before this starting with the Boy Scouts of America and this commitment will continue along with having a rich future when I reach my fullest potential. Nevaeh Hancock National Honors Society April 18, 23 National Honors Society As a high school freshman watching my brother walk across alongside students representing the National Honors Society encouraged me. Witnessing seniors walk across the stage with pride on their faces from representing the National Honors Society on their graduation humbled me to be a part of the National Honors Society community. I feel like I inquired about all the qualities that are mandatory and more that qualify my entrance into the National Honor Society.
