Feminism is an ideology which has evolved over past years and has varying meanings for each woman. These definitions share key components which include ensuring equality, removing oppression, and providing choice for all people (Schuiling & Likis, 2013, p.4). These components are molded and have unique meanings to each individual. This paper investigates different organizations and their effect upon the writer.
One website viewed was the National Organization for Women Foundation (2016). The organization focuses on improving women’s rights by advocating and educating in all venues including legislature, courts, and the general public. I found the group to be well rounded and its focus on six core issues was applicable to all women. Three main issues included were

Education and interventions regarding negative and unrealistic views of women’s bodies is a focus that I find relevant to women’s health. I believe this organization embodies ideals most closely related to
Liberal Feminism as described in Gray & Boddy (2010).This ideology focuses on equality in choice, rights, and opportunities for individuals (Gray & Body, 2010). Another web site visited was Everyday Feminism (2016). This organization’s vision has a global focus in which all people, both men and women, achieve equality and execute freedom of choice in their lives. The site achieves its goals by way of education and discussion.Their multitude of topics available for learning and the site offers magazine articles, seminars, and courses for educational opportunities. The group’s philosophy on inclusiveness of all people aligns with my personal views.
