Nation States were instrumental in funding voyages and improving the human condition during the age of exploration. England, a Nation State, helped bridge the New World and Old World together. Together they created an array of wealth and opportunity, which as a result bettered the lives of both the people in England, and the settlers of the New World. England’s colonization of the New World was beneficial to the English, but detrimental to the lives of the poor and natives of the New World. Despite the negatives, England as a Nation State vastly improved the human condition of the English people.
Over the past years Native Americans had cared for their own sacred lands, the story and religion that their primogenitors had taught them. The Native Americans had still carried the strong belief, that their land shall stay the same as if it should've been until new people had come in from elsewhere to change the land to something we all see outside till this day. However, there is a new project “The Dakota Access Pipeline” that had crossed the line of Native American trust between the new people that had changed everything the Natives had had since their ancestors were still living. No matter what effect the pipeline puts on most people there are some positive causes that can change a person such as protesters to think positive towards the pipeline being built on Indian reservation land. Even if the pipeline can cause many people to have a thought that the pipeline should not be built, only if they can hear from both sides, they can have a second thought and allow the pipeline to be built.
The Spanish colonization of the Americas was a complex and lengthy process that involved a wide range of strategies and institutions. One of the pivotal rudiments of this process was the establishment of presidios, which were military strongholds used by garrisons of varying sizes to cover and protect Spanish homes and populations from external risks. The presidios were constantly located in remote regions. The garrisons that occupied these strongholds consisted of legionnaires known as dragones de cuera, brave soldiers trained for frontier warfare. Meanwhile, the Spanish carried out different missions to convert the indigenous populations to Christianity, for which they reckoned on religious institutions.
Humans have been fighting wars and conquering each other since they set foot on this world. We fight like dogs and cats, taking each other's wealth, land, and power, yet we still say it is wrong to take something away from someone. Why is it wrong for the Americans to take the Native American's land when the Native Americans take other people's lands too? Whether the land is yours or not depends solely on how strong your army is and how large your land is. If Whites developed more advanced weaponry, better battle strategies, and were more determined than the Native people already on the land, then the land they take belongs to them.
In 1793 Timothy Pickering had a suggestion for how to prevent the extinction of the Native American population, by moving them over the Mississippi (Garrison 13). Between the years of 1816 and 1850 more than 100,000 Native Americans from all over North America were forced onto certain lands of territory west of the Mississippi (O’Neill 37). They were often forced to move to territory that had little to no resemblance of where they came from; villages that roamed hills, forests and lush vegetation had the possibility of being relocated to an area that was nothing but barren desert (O’Neill 12). Many had attempted to move Native Americans, but President Andrew Jackson and his administration were the first to have their proposal legislated by
When the settlers of Europe first came to the new world, they were introduced to the Native Americans. The settlers wanted the Natives to follow their culture and its benefits such as education, religion, and the usage of the environment. The Native Americans refused the request, stating they have their own type of culture, believing it to be the most superior; as a result, the Natives’ statement angered the ethnocentric settlers. Consequently, this caused a conflict between the two groups because of their culture differences. Firstly, the main culture difference consists of religion, tradition, and way of living.
Colonialism, it’s how population spread across the world and how we’re here today. Most people think that the Europeans colonizing across the world had a positive effect; however, there are some people that the Europeans colonizing across the world had a negative effect. Colonialism had both a positive and negative affect on Kenyan people. During the time, the British imposed a harder religion that they had brought along, how people were being treated, and agricultural services. European colonialism had a negative effect on the Kenyan people through imposing a harder religion that they had brought along.
A common topic of interest today would be whether American Imperialism overseas was justified or not. One who is a supporter may argue that it helped US industry; an opponent may think it was unfair of the US to take over land owned by other forces. As significant as the positive effects of imperialism may be, there were also negative results of imperialism as well. Although it has produced some positive outcomes, American expansion overseas was not justified, as there were detriments such as poor conditions for the residents, forced rule over land, and exploitation. To start out, people of the acquired land suffered under poor conditions.
Congo was impacted harshly during the colonization period because King Leopold changed the culture and economy to make it beneficial for him and his country. A social impact of the colonization period was the poor education system of Congo.
During the late 15th and early 16th centuries, eExplorers from Europe had made vast advancements on traveling methods and shipbuilding and had new methods to travel the world. Due to needs for faster trade routes or access to new markets, most powers, starting with Portugal, had started sending Explorers to find different ways to trade and navigate. This would eventually lead them to the New World where they would meet people of different culture. Explorers during this period have many positive and negative effects on the natives. Europeans indirectly killed off native with diseases, enslaved natives with cruel slave methods, and tried to completely erase the native cultures in place of the typical European cultures and religion.
The Europeans and Asians ended up conquering so much of the world because as Jared Diamond said, “those living in temperate climates with indigenous animals that could be domesticated were more likely to develop advanced civilizations.” This allowed for the Europeans and Asians to build larger establishments. The Europeans and Asians also had fertile crescent plants and agriculture. The fact that they had domesticated animals, advanced technology, and developing steel as a use for weaponry. The use of steel for weapons was especially benefiting to the Spanish Conquistadors.
America once colonized South America. Based on past examples Colonization of South America would be wrong because Americans would be taking away South America's freedom and increasing violence in their country Americans should not try to colonize South America because it would be taking away their freedom, like the British did to Africa. Notice what happened when the British tried to take over Africa, “Africans lost control of their land and of their independence”(Lugard, F. 1929). The British came over and took South Americans land.
The historical phenomenon of colonization is one of the stretches around the globe and across the time. Colonization or imperialism is the process of settling among and chartering control over homegrown people of an area. Colonization was first led by Spain and Portugal, in search of riches and trade routes mainly. Then it was followed by England, French and many others who left for different reasons. British brought the geographic and political units formerly under their supervision, including dominions, colonies, and dependencies.

In conclusion, imperialism had countless negative effects on the world today. It resulted in slave trade, caused cultures to be destroyed and took away countries’ natural resources. Had it not been for imperialism, the world today would consist of more diverse cultures with less discrimination and countries would be able to use their resources as they
