Americans today tend to believe that the interaction between the Europeans and native people has shaped the new world. Historians believe that Europeans discovery of the new world have impacted the way we function as a society today. The two historic documents that stresses on the significance of these people are “Document three and Document seven”. Document three on the hand emphasis Christopher Columbus’s discovery of the West Indies. In his writing Christopher Columbus speaks of the West Indies, the islands that is filled with resources.

The main things that Native American and people today accept that it is a good thing to have could be the balance in the nature . Yin and Yang represent the Balance in thing ,in black there’s still white and in white there’s still black . Left- handed twin who ‘s considered that he has a crooked mind ended up telling the truth . On the other hand ,the right-handed twin who’s considered that he has a straight mind and always tell the truth ended up lying to his brother .
Conquerors also threatened the natives. It was required that the natives accept the Church as the “Ruler”, and if they didn’t, war would be made against them and their family would become enslaved (document 7). The natives in America suffered severely during this time. In Latin America, the Spanish conquerors overworked the Indian natives and treated them harshly. The Spaniards broke apart families and relationships so that they would have limited contact with each other and would be forced to give up their customs.
In 1763, Britain took some of Spain’s land despite having just helped them. King Louis XV tried to give his land away to his cousin because he thought that the land wasn’t rich enough. Many Native Americans such as the Sioux lived in the region. King Louis gladly gave the land to Spain because of how expensive it was. The British wanted to defeat Spain so badly that they had the Native Americans attack them.
Yet, modern times never focus on what problems the Europeans caused in their process to discover new land. They killed people, used many people as slaves, and spreaded many diseases all in search of new land and wealth. They destroyed the peace that maintained before they arrived to the land they explored. They tore apart many civilizations in order to build their own on top of it. The Age of Exploration was a time of corruption.
The Spanish, English, and French would all agree that the New World was a bountiful land, and a place where they could all potentially make a profit. These three groups began colonizing so they could gain profits off the land. The Spanish were mining for gold and silver, the English were harvesting agriculture, and the French were trading for fur skins, and through their attempts to gain money and power they all interacted with Native Americans. During colonization, the Spanish, English, and French treated the Native Americans they encountered with varying degrees of severity, and little kindness in most cases; consequently, their treatment heavily impacted relations with Native Americans.
The Spaniards made a big impact in the Americas. They killed many Incas,Tainos, and Aztecs. These populations lost many including their emperors. On the Spaniard 's side they had power by killing Atahualpa and Montezuma they could create colonies and take riched back to their country. The Spaniards weren 't the only ones to look for riches in the New World.
“ It should be kept in mind that their insatiable greed and ambition, the greatest ever seen in the world, is the cause of their villainies.” (Las Casas) The people of Spain used murder and slavery as a means to depopulate the Islands due to their greed. According to Casas, the number of slain Indians is about 15 million in the fourty years that the Spaniards have intruded on the Natives land. Young men and rulers were killed, while women and young children were forced to be slaves to the Christians.
Why do people always say that the book was better than the movie? Film makers tend to get a bad reputation about ruining books by making them into movies. However, that may not always be the case. Some books can be considered to follow the storyline very well, like the in the story The Secret Life of Bee’s. Despite the fact that the Daughters of Mary had no impact in the movie, the film was still a faithful adaptation of the book because of the similarities of Lily’s relationship with August, and the outcome of the altercation with T-Ray.
The settlement of the Americas was a brutal and cruel undertaking done by the Spanish and English, and destroyed the Native American population and parts of their culture. The bloodshed and deceit from Columbus, Cortes, Pizzaro, and the Puritans was not a necessity for the human race to progress from savagery to civilization. Historians have seen that, throughout history, many civilizations have developed from more peaceful actions and circumstances. The Roman Empire is one example of a society that was not created through “brutal efficiency”, yet still had a thriving economy and culture. By killing off the Natives, the Spanish and English built a society that had its roots in unnecessary death and destruction that had only a negative impact
The Native Americans were seen as weak willed, for they barely resisted the conquest of their homes. If the Native Americans showed no incentive of retaliating and were better at manual work, it seemed natural to the Spanish that they be enslaved. The Native Americans, on the other hand, saw the Spanish in a different light as well as they watched many Spaniards become obsessed with gold. The Spanish were given Gold as gifts and went crazy just holding it and lusting for more, like savage monkeys. The Spanish, by nature, couldn’t help but become greedy monsters for gold, because in Europe riches were equivalent to power.

People just think of the Native American people in storybook tales and nothing more then that. The Native Americans have been living in the United States for awhile now and were the first ones on the country’s soil. They were here way before Christopher Columbus and the other European Colonists even discovered America and they are still present in the U.S.
Tobacco use in teens are a serious problem. I remember when I was in high school almost everybody in my class was either smoking cigarettes or chewing tobacco. It had gotten so bad that the school had to ban chewing tobacco from the school regardless if you were the legal age to buy it. It was always against the rules to smoke cigarettes on campus but the students found a way around it. Now there are E-cigarettes.
