Natural Selection Vs Creationism

Introduction
Evolution is the process by which organisms change over time as a result of changes in heritable physical or behavioral traits. Changes that allow an organism to better adapt to its environment will help it survive and have more offspring.(By Ker Than, Live Science Contributor). Charles Darwin’s idea about evolution says that it happens by natural selection. Natural selection is a system of when populations adapt and evolve. (American Museum of Natural History). This helps the organisms have traits, attributes, and etc to survive in their environment and reproduce. Before Charles Darwin was born people took ideas about the natural world as given. People did not really take time to think about the changing world or what is changing. …show more content…

Creationists argue and some believe that evolution should remain hypothetical. Since no one saw it happen. But this shows that some creationist might have misunderstood scientific reasoning. Some creationists reject evidence from natural processes because they see it at odds with their bible (2017 U.S. National Academy of Sciences). In the bible it states that “I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded” (Isaiah 45:12). This shows the creation of the earth. Many creationists have different viewpoints on how old the universe is. Some believe it is young while others believe it is old. But they both believe that their god created it in six days. Creationists believe god created everything but do not know from what because the universe is too …show more content…

Morris is Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Creation Research). How the planets have formed is still debateable. One known and accepted theory is core accretion, which can work to make planets like Earth, but not the larger planets. The other theory is the disk instability method which can be how the larger planets have formed. But scientists are still trying to find out more about how the planets have been made. The first evidence on earth was about 3.85 billion years ago. Science believes that the Earth's early atmosphere consisted of gases such as methane, hydrogen, ammonia, and steam. These gases may have combined with electrical discharge from lightning to produce organic compounds. Organic compounds, which include amino acids, are recognized as the building-blocks of life (Jim Schicatano June 21, 2003). About 4 billion years ago had hot temperature and no organisms could live. Mountains and hills were not there at that time but then later on began to form. The hot temperatures caused rock to melt and cause continents. Life on earth as well began to appear. The most known extinct animal are the dinosaurs. The oldest fossils are 3.5 billion years old (Michael Marshall 31 October 2016). But researchers found even older microbes that have been fossilized and are more than 3.7 billion years old. Researcher Michael Marshall said, “Using only the materials and conditions found on the Earth over 3.5 billion years ago, we
