Imperialism
Imperialism is when one country decides to conquer and rule other lands. European imperialism happened in the late nineteenth centuries to the early twentieth century, because the europeans wanted to take over Africa, India, Asia. They did this because they wanted political power, they wanted to spread their belief that they were superior than other countries. Because they were proud of their country they wanted to spread there ways to other countries. They also wanted to better the economy and make it theirs. Imperialism negatively affected the countries.

Imperialism forced European ways onto other countries. Europeans practically obligated the people to forget about what their accustomed to. According to an All-African people’s conference, held in Accra Ghana in 1858, people in Africa were denied their “fundamental human rights”. Prior to European imperialism people in Africa were living a peaceful life, they had the freedom of speech, freedom of press and much more. Neglecting the people their rights, was practically like enslaving them, if they did something against what the europeans said they would be punished. This shows that the europeans disregards on what the people felt. Not only did the neglection of human right outrage the people, some even decided to rebel.
